About this deal

There’s a neat LCD screen on the front that shows the setting as you tap buttons, but it shows the ambient temperature otherwise. It’s not overly bright and, when you turn the fan off, the screen dims further. It’s a shame that you can’t turn the screen off completely, as you can on other MeacoFan models: the option to do this on other MeacoFan models tends to be on the remote control, which you don’t get here. MeacoFan 360 Performance – Exceptionally powerful for such a small model The MeacoFan 360’s powerful airflow and oscillation means the fan will cool your room rapidly and create a comfortable environment for you to work or relax in.

It’s unlikely you’ll use it much at full power, but even at its lowest settings – where many fans are so weak as to be pointless – the Meaco still hits air speeds of just under 2m/sec, which makes for a nice breeze. Drop it into Natural mode and the feel of the varying speeds is surprisingly effective, giving you a nice, relaxing airflow with the occasional light gust of wind. Combine this with oscillation (60° vertical and 80° horizontal) and you can have that tropical holiday feeling in the comfort of your own bedroom. Key specs – Dimensions: 380 x 280 x 280mm; Weight: 2.5kg; Oscillation angle: 80˚ vertical/90 ˚ horizontal; Cord length: 2m; Warranty: 2 years; Power: 14W On its highest speed setting of 12, the MeacoFan 1056 Air Circulator is by far the most powerful fan I've tested. Outperforming the impressive Duux Whisper Flex Ultimate Fan in terms of the strength of air you can have streaming around the room in an instant. If you're looking for a fan that can really deliver a powerful air current, the MeacoFan 1056 Air Circulator will blow you away, (not quite) literally. Within those parameters, it’s still a great desk fan. It’s noisy at its highest settings, putting out nearly 60dB at full tilt, but at lower levels it’s fine for daytime use. The Meaco and Dimplex fans will dish out more airflow, but the Q will easily cool an area of a room and you can happily leave it on low if you’re sitting nearby. What’s more, the removable grille makes it easy to clean the fan and keep it in top-notch condition. If all you care about is function, you can save some cash by buying something else – but if form and style matter more in your home, the Q is the designer fan to get.All of the fan's control buttons are operated via this digital display (or the remote control). Each illuminated icon on the display is touch sensitive and beeps when pressed. Which?’s final verdict?, “This is a good Best Buy desk fan that’s worth buying, thanks to the pleasant breeze and quiet operation.” So far I was incredibly impressed by the MeacoFan 1056 Air Circulator, but there's still more to explore in its functionality.

Secondly, as mentioned, when not selected the digital display icons are very faint which can make them hard to read. Again, this is much clearer if you opt to use the remote control as here the icons are printed and so much easier to read. Small enough to sit on a bedside table, side table or windowsill, the MeacoFan 360 is beautifully designed, unobtrusive and easy to use. Simple touch switches control the power levels and you can manually adjust the vertical angle, helping you to find the perfect cooling option. Powered by either mains or USB connection, you can take the fan anywhere inside or outside. The good news with the huge number of fan speed modes is that you can balance airflow and speed nicely, easily finding the best setting that makes it easy for you to sleep. Should you buy the MeacoFan 360?We loved the breeze created by this fan. It’s pleasant, refreshing and strong enough to keep you cool in a muggy atmosphere.” Which? This fan is ideal for homes, offices and anywhere that a low-noise cooling fan can help to keep you and your family at a comfortable temperature. Power it from the mains or from a USB connection, giving you access to perfect cooling wherever you are. We use DC technology to power our fans because we believe it gives you the best performance and helps your fan to last longer. We’ve used this technology across a number of our products because it delivers: With summer temperatures making nights hot and uncomfortable, we are here to make sure you get a good, cool night’s sleep. We are proud to announce that our MeacoFan 360 has secured the Which? “Best Electric Fan 2023” endorsement. The main controls are on the base, surrounding a digital temperature display with handy icons to show the current status of the other settings.

Awarded the Quiet Mark award for low noise products, the sound of the 650 operating is just 20 dB, which equates to a whisper, and customers always remark on just how good it is to have finally found a fan that’s as quiet as it claims to be. The MeacoFan is far less fiddly to control than the great, but overcomplicated, Duux Whisper Flex Ultimate Fan, and although the touchscreen or remote controls are a little more involved than the very basic manual controls on the budget Honeywell Turbo Force Power Fan or the simple Russell Hobbs 12" Scandi Desk Fan, they're more intuitive, more ergonomic, and better placed for ease of use than either of these options. All in all, a score of 5 out of 5 for ease of use from me. Cooling powers Want more, the MeacoFanoff-timer function means you can set the fan to turn off after a selected number of hours to ensure you don’t wake up feeling too cold or don’t leave the fan running for longer than you need to. No extra sounds, bleeps, buttons, or gizmos – just a great-looking, quiet and cooling fan.

Overall, considering it offers a good range of functionality, the MeacoFan 1056 Air Circulator was the easiest fan of all the options I've tested to use.
