Indeed, Thus We have made you, a just (and the best) nation, that you be witnesses over mankind and the Messenger (Muhammad ) be a witness over you.)"

This tradition is related by Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Abu Dawud, Ibn Maja, and al-Bayhaqi as sound tradition (Musnad Ahmad, Vol. 6, p. 463; Ibn Maja, hadith No. 1407). The Prophet’s clause was: “present it with oil to light up its lamps”, which signifies constructing, maintaining the place and donating for that purpose. In The Shade Of The Qur'an is more than 'just another' commentary; yet it is not too over-reaching or outlandish to be a completely new interpretation. It is an earnest, sincere and sober look at man's contemporary achievements and difficulties in the light of the message of the Qur'an. It is an effort to vigorously explore its rich wisdom, and expand its invaluable guidance for the benefit of an increasingly 'sophisticated' , yet highly perplexed modern society. Qur’an, 17: 1. This verse implies a short reference to the Prophet’s mystic experience of the “Night Journey (al-Isra)” to Bayt al-Maqdis and the subsequent “Ascension (al-Mi‘raj)” to heaven. Qur’an, 17:1. This verse implies a short reference to the Prophet’s mystic experience of the “Night Journey (al-Isra)” to Bayt al-Maqdis and the subsequent “Ascension (al-Mi‘raj)” to heaven. For those of you who wish to embark on the praiseworthy path of memorising Qur’aan, the path which all the scholars and students of knowledge had first taken, this project will insha’Allaah aim to fully translate a very useful (albeit small) book titled ‘Asbaab al-Mu’eena ‘alaa Hifdh al-Qur’aan’ written to ease the memorisation of Qur’aan, containing practical tips as well as verses and ahadeeth speaking of the virtues of hifdh and the huffaadh.” Mujir al-Din al-Hanbali, al-Uns al-Jalil fi Tarikh al-Quds wal-Khalil, Vol. 1, p. 8; ‘Arif al-‘Arif, al-Mufassal fi Tarikh al-Quds, pp. 1-4; ‘Arif al-‘Arif, Qubba al-Sakhra al-Musharrafa wal-Masjid al-Aqsa al-Mubarak, p. 18; Muhammad Hussain ‘Ali, ‘Abd al-Rahim Mir’ib, Tarikh al-‘Arab wal-Muslimin, pp. 7-8; Hamad Yusuf, Bayt al-Maqdis min al-‘Ahd al-Rashidi wa Hatta Nihaya al-Dawla al-Ayyubiyya; Ikrime Sabri, Dalil al-Masjid al-Aqsa al-Mubarak, pp. 7-8.

There are several other Ahadith on this subject. In summary, Allah's Messenger ﷺ was commanded to face Bayt Al-Maqdis (during the prayer) and he used to offer prayer towards it in Makkah between the two corners (of Ka`bah), so that the Ka`bah would be between him and Bayt Al-Maqdis8. When the Prophet migrated to Al-Madinah, this practice was no longer possible; then Allah commanded him to offer prayer towards Bayt Al-Maqdis, as Ibn Abbas and the majority of the scholars have stated. The Character of the Bearers and People of the Qur'an discusses the required manners and character of those who preserve, recite and believe in the Qur'an, thus including all Muslims in general. The book is divided into ten chapters. Most of the material is of two types: quotations and admonitions. Every word in the Quran was translated literally so that the reader could understand the meaning of each and every word. It needs to be remembered that not all literal translation represents the exact meaning of the word since the Quran uses a varied Arabic language style and the occasional metaphor. Are their any unstated connection between belief in the heart and the meaning of this Supplication?I am so so grateful that I was told about this book. After buying it, I was able to read Quran and actually understand it. I no longer felt that I was reading letters without my heart being engaged to our Creator's verses. I recommend this to everyone who can read Arabic but struggles with understanding the actual words. May Allah SWT bless all who put effort into making and sharing this book. The Maqdis Qur’an is a translation learning method utilizing a word-by-word format whereby each word and sentence is colour matched, in Arabic and English. Palestine has also a historical significance for Arabs. Throughout the history, there have been continuous Arab migrations from the Arabian Peninsula to the Levant. The absence of a natural barrier, such as mountains, seas or rivers, separating Arabia from the Levant, in general, and the land of Palestine, in particular, facilitated these migrations. It is well known that migrations from the Arabian Peninsula to the Levant were greater than those in the reverse direction, because Arabs were in dire need of water and pasture, which were more abundant in the Levant than in the Arabian Peninsula. 11 Mujir al-Din al-Hanbali, al-Uns al-Jalil fi Tarikh al-Quds wal-Khalil, Vol. 1, p. 8; ‘Arif al-‘Arif, al-Mufassal fi Tarikh al-Quds, pp. 1-4; ‘Arif al-‘Arif, Qubba al-Sakhra al-Musharrafa wal-Masjid al-Aqsa al-Mubarak, p. 18; Muhammad Hussain ‘Ali, ‘Abd al-Rahim Mir’ib, Tarikh al-‘Arab wal-Muslimin, pp. 7-8; Hamad Yusuf, Bayt al-Maqdis min al-‘Ahd al-Rashidi wa Hatta Nihaya al-Dawla al-Ayyubiyya; Ikrime Sabri, Dalil al-Masjid al-Aqsa al-Mubarak, pp. 7-8. 12 Qur’an, 5:21. At the time the Qur’an was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad sal Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, Arabia was a relatively unknown and desolate place. Yet, within 23 short years, the entire region was transformed – from barren to Blessed; the land of the Arabs became the land of the Qur’an - a fountain of knowledge and light, forming a civilization that would be unmatched in its social, economic and political success. Miraculous. They asked, "What is the matter with these people (Muslims) who one time face this direction (Jerusalem), and then face that direction (Makkah)" Allah answered their questions when He stated: As with many Translation of Ibn Kathirs Works this is an Abridge version without impairing the contents of the book.Everyone who speaks English should have a copy of this Quran.
