About this deal

I'd tried wearing these boots several times over the years, hoping they would get a little wider by breaking them in. That never worked but just leaving them to stretch overnight worked like magic. Happy days!

A: Attempting to force your leather shoes to stretch faster than they want to is bound to result in damage to the integrity of the leather, broken stitching and expensive repairs. Remember, that while leather will stretch over time the operative phrase there is “over time”. You can promote stretching by using a high quality shoe stretcher and the relaxer fluid that typically comes with them. But if you try and force the process your leather shoes are going to pay the price. The width difference is hard to see with the naked eye, even though shoe stretchers work best for making shoes wider. The measurement across the widest part of my boots increased by 5mm (.2 in) approx, from 15.5 to 16 cm. This sounds tiny, but medium and wide shoes are only slightly different in width and this makes a huge difference to how they feel. Stretching Skechers to make them wider Making my stretch fit rainbow Skechers wider with my shoe stretcher I nearly cried when my new cute stretch fit Skechers hurt my feet. The length was fine but they were not quite wide enough and pinched the sides of my feet.Place your shoes in a warm and dry location and let them sit for about 12 hours. Do not set the leather shoes in the sun. Remove the crumpled newspapers, and test the shoes on your feet.

Consider professional help: If you're unsure or dealing with a particularly tight pair of shoes, consider seeking help from a professional shoe repair service. They have the right skills and tools to stretch your shoes without causing damage. With a hairdryer on medium heat, blow warm air over the tight areas of the shoes for about 30 seconds. Ever notice how you're slower, more tired after a day spent in a tight or loose pair? That's the shoe fit affecting your walking efficiency. It's amazing how much of a difference a well-fitted pair of leather shoes can make, isn't it? 3. Longevity of the Shoe For a little more money, deluxe versions in cedar or other types of wood and stainless steel can be found. I've tested these shoe stretchers with 4 pairs of shoes to date as of April 2023. All 4 pairs of shoes felt bigger after stretching, but I found:Another handy tool in your shoe-stretching arsenal is a shoe stretcher. This is a device that you insert into your shoe, and it applies pressure from the inside to stretch the leather. Shoe stretchers can be adjusted to stretch your shoes in width, length, or even specific areas where you might have a bothersome bunion or corn. It's an excellent method if you need a more substantial stretch, but it does require some patience as it works best when left in the shoe for 24 to 48 hours. 3. Using the Freezing Technique Metal - As is the case with wood, metal shoe stretchers run the quality gamut from cheap to expensive. At the low end of the spectrum are metal stretchers fashioned from cheap aluminum. They’ll do the job certainly. But they aren’t the kind of thing you boast about to your friends. At the other end of the spectrum are shoes stretchers made from high quality stainless steel. They look great, work well and will stand up to the closest scrutiny by friends, family and anyone else you want to show them off to. Spray the leather that needs to be stretched with the shoe stretch spray. The spray will aid in softening and stretching the leather. Toe box elevator - Sometimes the problem with a pair of shoes is not that they’re too narrow in the toe, it’s that they’re too low in the toe. The toe box elevator or raiser pushes upward on the toe box creating topside space for your toes to move and breathe. This type of shoe stretcher also prevents chafing and blisters. Adjustable shoe trees can also be used in conjunction with shoe stretching sprays and liquids for a more effective end result. There are a wide variety of liquids and sprays out there that are great for stretching shoes, leather, fabric, and even vinyl. These stretch sprays can be applied to the parts of the shoe that feel tight. Spray the tight areas and then walk around in your shoes to stretch them out. Alternatively, use a shoe stretcher or adjustable shoe tree to stretch the shoes after applying the stretch sprays and liquid. 8. Find a Shoe Repair Professional

Shoes that can get wet, like canvas shoes and water shoes, can be directly frozen. Wet these shoes with a little water and put them in the freezer to freeze. Take them out and let them thaw. They should fit well after their freezer time! 4. Stuff in NewspapersIf you rarely wear your stretched shoes, you might need to stretch them again before you wear them too. Hunter boots are a popular brand of rubber rain boots known for their durable, waterproof construction and comfortable fit. They are made of a flexible material called neoprene, which is designed to stretch and conform to the shape of the foot and leg. As a result, Hunter boots are typically able to stretch with the wearer’s calves, allowing for a comfortable and customizable fit.
