About this deal

Addition of the TTArtisan Tilt 50mm f/1.4 L and the Panasonic Lumix S 18mm f/1.8, the widest prime lens from Panasonic. Their original adapters EF-E/FE were not very good, they have always proclaimed that they were compatible with a huge range of lenses - even lenses that few (including Commlite and even Metabones could not afford to buy and test), most likely they will not work well with more rare lenses but so few own them that the sad story will never be told.

Super powerful compatibility. Suitable for use on Canon EOS M mirrorless camera, you can transfer the EF/EF-S lens group to your Canon EOS M mirrorless camera, allowing you to shoot more beautiful works through the new combination;Support lens anti-shake, effectively eliminating image ghosting and blurring caused by shaking during sports shooting or holding. Canon RF mount camera users can also benefit. The new Canon C70 is fully covered and can create 4K 2.4:1 anamorphic images with the MTF Services converted Sirui lenses. The Canon EOS R 4K video mode is also fully covered. But, if you need a 35mm prime to fit to mFT body, there are plenty of options, also with AF. Oly FT-version 35mm macro (needs an adapter), I would hate to see M4/3 die simply because the FF sensor has become “fashionable”. It is already a fully viable ML mount system and well catered for by a significant variety of product.

The company is known for its lens adapters and has gained popularity after offering Fujifilm MK to Sony FZ and Micro Four Thirds adapters. It now has conversions for Sirui anamorphics in either Canon RF or L-mount, as well as a conversion kit for Fujinon's MK lenses to RF mount. I saw that the flange distance of L-mount is just a tad longer than that of M43. If the diameter is much wider, maybe such an adapter could still be made? In a recently published interview, Dave Etchells asked Panasonic's Director of Imaging about the future of MFT. His responses are interesting for what they don't say. MFT is described as a "precious asset," and they are taking a view of how the GH line should develop for the reasons outlined above, which means balancing the offerings of FF and MFT. Mr. Yosuke Yamane specifically notes that Panasonic is now: Another alternative would be to find an 0.71 focal reducer with AF support and put a 50 mm lens on it. This will bring you to 35 mm effective FL and buy you one stop greater speed (e.g. f/1.4 for an f/2 or f/1.0 for an f/1.4 lens). With a focal reducer of good quality, such a combo might conceivably do better optically when stopped down to f/2 than a 35 mm f/2 lens shot wide open. I used the Commlite AF adapter on the MFT - Olympus E-M5 mk 2 and EM-1 + Canon 70-200 / 4.0 and Canon 100mm / 2.0. It worked fine.I bought Jintu (MF only) and Commlite (AF) for EF-M4/3 the Jintu was uber-cheap and did exactly what it promised - made EF lenses into MF lenses with aperture control. The Commlite was a little more expensive, gave the same MF control and some AF with some EF mount lenses. This was pre-firmware update port. There was no issue with build quality on either brand, but they seem to have been built from the same components.

I did a test of 20+ EF mount lenses with the Sigma MC-21 and Fotodiox Fusion adapters and all was not that rosy although both adapters did support all my Sigma EF mount lenses for S-AF and the Fusion adapter did support a wider range of Canon EF mount lenses. But neither came anywhere close to supporting the range of my own lenses that Metabones supported EF-M4/3. Nor is the Fusion adapter nearly as complete in actual compatibility S-AF as Commlite claims in its list. Cheap, a new player in the EF-L adapter field is always welcome, they now have a firmware update port, maybe it will work with the EF lens that you own - especially if it is one that works with most every other adapter. Will possibly entice quite a few EF mount lens owners to join the L-Mount club. The passion for these lenses got me onto the digital Leica M train. I do a lot of ultra wide angle shots for my architectural photos, Leica M sensor is better designed than Sony A7 series for pairing with wide angle rangefinder lenses. I enjoys the simplicity of the rangefinder focus operations on decade of lenses, as well as liveview use of adapted lenses. Leica M share similar short flange focal distance as MFT, it is truly the original mirrorless camera system from the start. All my full frame lenses can be used via appropriate adaptors. It also shows me the edges on those lenses and see the full fingerprint of the lens in full compares to the cropped view on my MFT cameras. The only thing missing is the IBIS. Summicron 50mm Screw Mount on Leica M Monochrom

I am thinking of getting the recently released sigma 2/35mm which alas only comes in Sony E mount and Panasonic Leica L mount
