About this deal

A report from IT Home claims the cooler is rated for CPUs with a TDP of up to 265W. It was reportedly tested with an Intel Core i9-11900K processor and managed to limit temperatures to 85c.

If there’s anything missing in the relatively oversaturated range of CPU coolers, it’s a properly powerful top-flow model. The Chinese company Jiushark now brings one such cooler. Although it is not a completely original design (there already has been a similar cooler), it currently makes a rather unique impression. You will look in vain for an alternative with comparable TDP to the JF13K-Diamond cooler in its price range. All testing is performed in a room with a 23 degrees Celsius ambient room temperature. Multiple thermal tests are run on each CPU to test the cooler in a variety of conditions, and acoustic measurements are taken with each result. These tests include: The JIUSHARK JF13K Diamond CPU cooler is a top-down design that features a finned aluminum heat sink with a total of seven heat pipes leading from the bottom base plate that sits over the CPU to the massive heatsink. The heatsink features two 120mm fans which are reduced to a height of just 15mm that operate at 800-1800 RPM with airflow rated at 23.46-64.51 CFM. The fans receive power through a 4-pin PWM connector. Like many of you reading this now, I first heard of the JF13K Diamond after watching Gamers Nexus’ review of it. Steve’s review left me with two questions: JUISHARK has made sure that the top-down air cooler is compatible with all small form factor cases and motherboards. As such, the cooler measures 241x121x92mm and provides up to 59mm of clearance over the DIMM slots and 50mm clearance over the I/O cover. Since the top-down cooler is extended over the DIMMs and VRMs, the fans can provide additional airflow and cool them. The example you see here was a prototype from Noctua that was showcased at Computex 2011. Noctua's prototype also featured seven heatpipes and offered 20 percent more surface area than its NH-D14 tower cooler.

The heat sink's lateral expansion facilitates "all-range cooling," supporting effective temperature regulation not only for the CPU but also for peripheral components such as VRM and memory. Despite its low-profile height of 92mm, it's important to note that the compatible motherboard width must be a minimum of 245mm, rendering Mini-ITX installation unfeasible.

Jiushark’s JF13K Diamond offers a unique form factor like no other cooler we’ve seen before.

Modern CPUs, whether Intel or AMD, are difficult to cool in intensive workloads. In the past reaching 95C+ on a desktop CPU might have been a cause for concern – but with today’s processors, it is considered normal operation. Similar behavior has been present in laptops for years due to cooling limitations in tight spaces. Since those fans didn’t improve performance, I pulled out some of the strongest fans I have available. Cougar’s MHP 120 fans feature 4.24 mm-H20 static pressure and 82.5 CFM of airflow. Even with these very strong fans, cooling performance only improved minimally – increasing by only 10W of cooling capacity with Intel’s i7-13700K.
