YES, YES, YES it DOES read RST codes AND you can dig down and get the status of the switches and roll bar etc. GREAT This scan tool covers 20 years models, so some functions may not be available on all years /models. Early R129 roadsters with 38-pin OBD connectors are not supported e.g., my 129.067 - a 500SL delivered originally to Germany late 1992. However, from that era W124.034 and 124.036 models are supported (400E, 420E and 500E). By manually selecting these models iCarsoft recognized three modules in my R129. They are ECM LH, Base Module and ATA. The two first ones even show correct identifiers and some live data including even trim values, although only part of them are correct. I had no DTCs; do not know if you could read and reset these modules' trouble codes.The ECM module, can't tell what hardware and software version, which is strange, because it provides this info for every other module listed. So, we’ve mentioned some pretty useful stuff that the V 3.0 iCarsoft car scanner series can take care of, but it might still not be enough to go on if you’re new to this kind of thing. Alistair at DIagnostic World went through the warning lights with me, and one by one I was able to learn and get them to turn off. I really am a newbie to this, so Alistairs help was extremely welcome. i ended up needing a new seat connector sensor and another sensor for the wheel speed?? In any case, my friend helped me fit them, and now the lights are off because the tool has an option to reset everything. Thanks again for the help. The car is still a heap of **** but at least ive hopefully put a bit more life into it.
