About this deal

It is suitable for all skin types, from dry to oily, which astonished me when I first tried it a few years ago. It’s pink (and white). Need I say more?! The tube doesn’t fail to catch your eyes and it’s practical, too. Does Hylamide HA Blur Live Up To Its Claims? CLAIM Instead of relying on older silica technologies, HA Blur uses an unusual new form of Hyaluronic Acid powder base for its blurring approach. Hyaluronic Acid has never been used for this purpose before and renders HA Blur compatible with all makeup and all skin types, while the blurring effect is exceptional. In fact, it's so compatible with makeup that you can apply under or over foundation, or mix it with any liquid foundation for an ultra-high-definition skin finish. I think this primer is actually really handy for a bunch of different purposes. It worked with every foundation I tried it with, with no balling up or separation. I found that it’s suitable for both the oily and drier areas of my combo skin – it’s mattifying on the oily parts, while being hydrating for the dry areas. I did find that the mattifying effect only lasted for a few hours before blotting was required though, which is pretty standard for me when I use silicone-based primers.

Let’s Talk Ingredients

It also works well when blended with foundation or used on top of makeup to blur out troublesome areas. If you read UK beauty blogs, you know that everyone is raving about Hylamide HA Blur because finally someone came up with a primer without silicones that gets the job done, and done very well. HA Blur Finisher

I found it gave my skin lasting hydration and my foundation held really well throughout the day with comfort. Ingredients: Caprylyl methicone, aqua (water), peg-12 dimethicone/ppg-20 crosspolymer, hexamethyldisiloxane, polysilicone-11, cyclopentasiloxane, isodecyl neopentanoate, vinyl dimethicone/methicone silsesquioxane crosspolymer, cyclomethicone, peg-10 dimethicone, sodium hyaluronate, pseudoalteromonas exopolysaccharides, sodium salicylate, adipic acid/neopentyl glycol crosspolymer, methyl methacrylate/peg/ppg-4/3 methacrylate crosspolymer, tocopherol, acrylamide/sodium acryloyldimethyl taurate copolymer, silica dimethyl silylate, laureth-12, polyacrylate crosspolymer-6, isohexadecane, polysorbate-80, dimethicone, cyclohexasiloxane, cetearyl dimethicone crosspolymer, vp/va copolymer, cyclotetrasiloxane, amodimethicone, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, citric acid, butylene glycol, hexylene glycol, caprylyl glycol¸ ethylhexylglycerin, phenoxyethanol, chlorphenesin. That’s BS. If you think this stuff is silicone-free, you obviously haven’t taken a look at the ingredient list or worse, you don’t know how to spot silicones in there. So why do we use blurring products? Basically because they work by scattering the light as it hits our faces which gives the illusion of better skin-smaller pores, less lines, more even tone etc etc. Ingredients: Caprylyl Methicone, Aqua (Water), PEG-12 Dimethicone/PPG-20 Crosspolymer, Hexamethyldisiloxane, Polysilicone-11, Cyclopentasiloxane, Isodecyl Neopentanoate, Vinyl Dimethicone/Methicone Silsesquioxane Crosspolymer, Cyclomethicone, PEG-10 Dimethicone, Sodium Hyaluronate, Pseudoalteromonas Exopolysaccharides, Sodium Salicylate, Adipic Acid/Neopentyl Glycol Crosspolymer, Methyl Methacrylate/PEG/PPG-4/3 Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Tocopherol, Acrylamide/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Laureth-12, Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6, Isohexadecane, Polysorbate-80, Dimethicone, Cyclohexasiloxane, Cetearyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, VP/VA Copolymer, Cyclotetrasiloxane, Amodimethicone, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Citric Acid, Butylene Glycol, Hexylene Glycol, Caprylyl Glycol¸ Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin.I love applying this after moisturiser and before foundation although you can use this throughout the day to touch up-the best way is to dispense a small amount onto your fingers, very gently rub your hands together to disperse the product evenly and then press your hands onto your skin. If I am using it in the morning I then apply my foundation with a damp beauty blender and find that gets the best results because it doesn't disturb the primer on the skin. It doesn't cause make up to separate throughout the day and the hyaluronic acid clings to your base (in a good way), making your foundation look fresher for longer.

Dry skin cannot live without hyaluronic acid but even my combination (or oily skins) skin adores it because it keeps it hydrated without adding any more oil to the skin. It plumps from within. 🙂 Personal Use & Thoughts You can think of Deciem Hylamide HA Blur as a primer to REAL skincare benefits and just thank me after you try it. It smooths out my skin, leaving a perfect canvas to apply my foundation. I tested this product with every foundation I owned for the past 3 years and it does make them last longer and keeps my sebum at bay. Then, go over with HA Blur and I’m guaranteed a matte complexion with incredibly smooth looking skin all day. It is suitable for all skin types from dry to oily and I was really surprised by that a few years ago when I first tried it. My friend who has dry skin told me she’s in love with Deciem Hylamide HA Blur and that I have to try it but I admit I was skeptical because how my combo skin type can adore the same product as someone with dry skin. Let’s Talk IngredientsIt conceals my huge pores, fine lines, and wrinkles while also keeping my skin nourished throughout the day. Ingredients: Adipic Acid/ Neopentyl Glycol Crosspolymer, Aqua (Water), Dimethicone, Cyclohexasiloxane, Ethoxydiglycol, VP/VA Copolymer, Vinyl Dimethicone/ Methicone Silsesquioxane Crosspolymer, Tasmannia Lanceolate Fruit/ Leaf Extract, Glycerin, PEG-10 Dimethicone, Acrylamide/ Sodium Acryloyldimethyltaurate Copolymer, Isohexadecane, Polysorbate 80, Amodimethicone, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin. Photography Foundation Finisher I found this very similar to the NIOD Photography Fluid, in that both of them worked best on me mixed with primer (Klara Cosmetics Reset Glow) and dabbed on with a sponge. I only really needed concealer over problem spots on top, then powder to control oil. The most exciting thing about this combo for me was that it gave me a gorgeously healthy glow without being greasy or glittery. In fact, I didn’t have to blot oil from my face all day, which was previously unheard of. Like with NIOD Photography Fluid, by itself, I found Photography Foundation a bit prone to sinking into lines and pores.
