One of my favourite parts of Christmas decorations is all the lights! They make the home seem warm and cosy on those dark, cold winter nights. Discovering Aquafaba — egg free royal icing — is literally one of the best things I’ve come across un recent times. This is a great way to make a custom christmas garland. But of course, if you like more detailed instructions and photos, stay tuned for some awesome patterns! Craft Ribbon Bows: Cut 3 pieces of each ribbon at 9", dovetail them, and create a crisscross pattern without repeating ribbon styles. Measure and Cut Foam Board: Cut a foam board in half at the 10-inch mark, creating a 10-inch piece.

Apply Expanding Foam: Use bright white expanding foam to create an icing effect. Apply it all around, avoiding the edges. I’m not going to apologise for another gingerbread-related craft 🙂 With only 5 weeks to go until Christmas we are enjoying our festive crafting. Today I wanted to share the sweet gingerbread men paper garland we made. If you're looking to add a sweet touch to your holiday decor, this DIY gingerbread garland by Kiki DiY's is a perfect choice. The ink from fabric marking pens usually disappears as soon as it’s exposed to water, or after it’s been exposed to air for a certain amount of time. Most Christmas crochet garlands will call for worsted weight yarn. However, there are definitely exceptions to this! For example, one of the patterns in this list uses bulky yarn, and one uses crochet thread. Crafting in Mimi's World shows us how to craft a DIY gingerbread homestead display with a cozy farmhouse feel. Here's how: Assemble the Garland: Start with crisscrossed candy canes, zip tie them, and continue the pattern (candy cane, bow) until the center. This year I decided to up the ante with the repurposed Christmas gingerbread garland by adding lights. The number of cardboard boxes that arrive at our house in the build-up to Christmas is shameful! I try to ease my guilt over this mountain of cardboard by repurposing some of it into cardboard Christmas decorations like this gingerbread garland.Grab your hot glue gun and start gluing the pieces, buttons and pom poms on your cute little gingerbread boy and girl. Also, assemble the peppermints in the similar fashion of my Oversized Peppermints. There’s just so much you can do with felt. Have kids? Create a homemade felt board and felt shapes for story time and imaginative play. Love Christmas? Create pretty felt garlands for your Christmas tree. When you’ve cooled your dough and are ready to cut out the star shapes for your gingerbread garland, don’t forget to make a little hole in each one. You can do this with a skewer — or in the same way that I do with my salt dough ornaments, you can use a drinking straw. Once the toppings have dried, thread bakers twine through the holes to form little loops. Photo Credit: The Listed Home. Photo Credit: The Listed Home.
