About this deal

It’s still working, even after running if for so long for testing. So far, it seems like it’s reliable.

No, this is a low pressure electric air pump. It’s not meant to fill anything that requires pressures past 4 kPa (0.58 PSI). It’s a portable rechargeable electric air pump that’s not much bigger than an egg. It weighs hardly anything and it actually works. There are 3 light strengths; 40, 160, and 400 lumens. Flextail advertises that the 400 lumen mode can be powered for about 1 hour. As stated earlier, the pump’s USB-C Charging Port can be easily found right at the bottom of the unit (very close to its base). The pump’s USB-C Charging Port features a Power Input value of 5.0V (0.6 A).Whenever you’re looking to fill up an inflatable air mattress, air bed, your car’s tires, or even some floating pool accessories, you’ll most likely be using either a mechanical hand pump (meaning a manually powered one), an electric pump, or ultimately, an air compressor. However, all of these have a few issues. Manually-powered hand pumps are simply energy draining whenever what you’re looking to inflate takes a ton of time, while electrical air pumps and electric air compressors are just bulky, thus occupying too much space when you’re looking to bring one with you, as well as quite heavy when you need to carry them around. Nevertheless, there’s one handy gadget out there that fixes all of those issues, meaning that not only does it do the inflation job for you so that you don’t have to waste your precious energy, but it’s also small and lightweight enough to bring with you, making it the perfect pump to have around while you’re on-the-go. Meet the FLEXTAILGEAR Tiny Pump X. The Tiny Pump X is currently available in three (x3) different color models: White, Blue, and Gray (these only change the pump’s top-side color). Now with better electronics, batteries, etc, I'm wondering if it's worth looking at the micro battery-powered pumps? They're pretty light (not ultralight, lol) and if they can avoid all the above issues plus save camp setup/tear down time, it might be worth it. I think the Flextail Tiny Pump 2X is worth it, especially if you are planning on using it as a lantern when camping.

This compact air pump is made of an ultra-durable and high-quality ABS plastic material, which actually makes the pump quite sturdy during its transportation. The sound of the motor running and the fan spinning inside the Tiny Pump 2X is louder than you might think. No, the Tiny Pump 2X cannot inflate a balloon. To inflate a regular party balloon, at least 1 PSI is required. This pump can only reach up to 0.58 PSI. Not only that, but thanks to the pump’s ultra-lightweight, you’re able to travel lighter, which, specifically for camping trips, ultimately allows you to focus on enjoying your fun and exciting outdoors adventure, which wouldn’t be possible if you were carrying a bulky manual (or electric) air pump. The same goes for any of your future vacations at the beach or by the pool-side, where you’ll probably be needing to fill an air mattress, air bed, or even inflatable pool accessories. Without a doubt, the Tiny Pump X is a powerhouse of an air pump.Using the pump to fill up any inflatable items that need to be inflated is also quite easy, and that’s because the pump features both one Safety Net Inflation Port at the side (close to the top) and one Safety Net Deflation port (perfectly centered right at the top of the unit). After charging the Tiny Pump 2x (LEDs by the charger indicate charge status), the interface is rather simple to navigate: avoid deflation in cold weather (especially below freezing, because I'd be inflating with warm air from my lungs, then it cools down and gets more dense thus feels like it deflated despite no air exiting it) It’s not that loud compared to other electric air pumps, but because of the small size, the amount of sound it produces is surprising. Do all the nozzles fit the inflation and deflation ports? One way to avoid the work is to get a super thin camping mat that doesn’t require much air, but you give up a lot of comfort.

All-in-all, I really like the Flextail Tiny Pump 2X and I’m glad I got the chance to test and review it.

Lastly, next to the pump’s USB-C Charging Port there’s also a LED Charging Indicator, which basically informs users with the color Red when the pump is between 0~99% charge and a bright Green color as soon as the pump’s battery reaches 100% charge. FINAL THOUGHTS Other than the pump’s two built-in inflation and deflation nozzles (its Self-Contained Safety Net Inflation Port and Safety Net Deflation Port), the pump’s included five nozzle accessories consist of a 15.8 mm Small-Caliber Air Nozzle (mainly used for inflatable accessories with smaller valves), a 20 mm Large-Caliber Air Nozzle (mainly used to fill up inflatable air beds / mattresses), a 6 mm Sharp Air Nozzle (used mainly to inflate Swimming Rings and other Inflatable Toys), a 25.6 mm Rubber Air Nozzle (which can be mainly used to fill most Outdoor Air Mattresses), and a 25.5 mm Vacuum Nozzle that can be used with the pump’s built-in Safety Net Deflation Port to deflate Vacuum Storage Bags, which you can ultimately bring with you to save you some extra space while you’re traveling. Either way, it’s a fantastic light for camping, and it makes inflating camping mats in the dark a lot easier.
