Not only that, this is the very last Fireman Sam video to be officially released on VHS in Australia, as well as the only Series 5 video to be released on VHS in that country.

During the National touring of the show, Joanne Skuse would switch her role from Sarah to Norman Price in later shows. The fire fighters uniforms that were used in the show were supplied with thanks to the Hampshire Fire Service. On the Cover sleeve, BBC Video forgot to include Lost Ring in the episode listings, however, images from that episode are seen on the cover art. The web link menu used on this DVD was later reused on the Saves the Day!, Let it Snow and Fun Run DVDs.

The layout of the show was simple, having the fire station, Sam's House, Dilys Price’s shop and Bella’s café all on a turntable, with doors, ladders and windows connected to each other. A new golf bag makes an excellent retirement present for Station Officer Steele. Then, a worried Sam and the crew are called to a fire at Trevor's potting shed - worried, because that's where they've hidden the present! At the start of the tape, there is a promo advertising The Hero Next Door, Lost Cat, Sam's Day Off, Snow Business, Norman's Pitfall and All in a Good Cause. All 3 scenes in act 1 are connected to 3 original episodes. Chemistry Set, Flat Tyre and Trevor's Training.

The New Adventures of Fireman Sam: Disaster For Dinner and a 'William's Wish Wellingtons' video are advertised at the beginning of the tape. The Cover sleeve features a promo image from the episode, ' Lost Ring', despite the fact that 'Lost Ring' does not feature on the tape. The 1993 re-release has a 5 second slide advertising videos 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 plus The Very Best of Fireman Sam.Previously released on Fireman Sam 5: Norman's Pitfall - BBCV 4428, The Very Best of Fireman Sam 2 - BBCV 5278, Fireman Sam: Spot of Bother and Five Other Stories - BBCV 5466 and BBC Toybox 3 - BBCV 6226) A recording of the live action Fireman Sam stage play, which ran in certain theatres throughout the 1990s.

The play has three acts, 'Fire Station Flood Alert' (loosely based on the episode, 'Bentley the Robot'), NOTE: This is the only Fireman Sam DVD to feature all three versions of the show.
