About this deal

Donne’s metaphors are clever: observe the way he takes the idea of being blinded by staring at the sun and turns it on its head, saying that the sun itself may well be blinded by looking upon the eyes of his beloved – they’re that dazzling and beautiful. In addition, my editing work pile was bigger than ever. The endless days of pandemic isolation gave rise to a new generation of erotic authors who decided to try their hands at lesbian fiction (as opposed to using their hands to enjoy lesbian fiction), until it seemed as if we were receiving a new submission every week. And most of the stories were good – too good to pass up. Larkin (1922-85), one of the most popular English poets of the twentieth century, offers us a different take on ‘desire’ and ‘wants’ here, focusing on mankind’s innate ‘wish to be alone’ and ‘desire for oblivion’, which, to borrow from another of his poems, lie just under all we do.

sometime when you are heavy with sleep — I shall pull the covering aside and kiss you right there where the heart beats. ~Kate Stephens, A Woman's Heart, 1906 The form has inspired both imitations and satires. In reply to Christopher Marlowe’s shepherd, who begged his nymph to "Come live with me and be my love," Sir Walter Raleigh let his nymph knowingly reply: They are often filled with imagery and language that is both beautiful and sensual, making them irresistible to read. You are the one I am lit for. Come with your rod that twists and is a serpent. I am the bush. I am burning I am not consumed.” — “ To A Dark Moses” by Lucille Clifton Donne’s sonnet also ends with a very daring declaration of desire that God ‘ravish’ him – much as he had longed for the women in his life to ravish him in his altogether more libertine youth. Although LoSchiavo often sets his erotic haiku outdoors, some of them are set indoors. These poems capture intense moments, such as “taking flame,” which could refer to blowing out a candle. “Night enters his boots,” meanwhile, refers to night’s approaching. Despite the enigmatic language of LoSchiavo’s erotic haiku, the narrator is light on his feet, bringing the moonlight along with him. Emily LoSchiavo’s erotic haiku Since then, Ms. Jillinghoff has worked her editor’s mojo on at least half a dozen stories. Most of these have been posted; a couple more will hopefully make their appearance soon. Please join me in extending hearty thanks to Jacqueline for her willingness to take on an incredibly useful but unglamorous job that doesn’t pay.

Whether you want to send her a poem for Valentine’s Day, or just because, these will definitely get the job done. Hypnotic Eyes i get lost in priestess of the love goddess Aphrodite. And while we may never know the real identity of the writer of the "Song of Solomon," that sizzling bit of erotica did end upTo hear the wild beating of your veins; to feel flame shuddering your blood and to agonize you with my ardor.
