The main menu across all three discs is reused from the Walt Disney Signature Collection release, featuring scenes from the film set inside the glass slipper (the clips are from the 2005 restoration). There aren’t any trailers.

The first animated feature in the series was a Laugh-O-Gram piece produced by Walt Disney in 1922. The film was released on December 6, and ran a total of 7 minutes. As a cost-saving measure, much of the film was shot in live-action on soundstages first, and then the animation was rotoscoped over that reference material. Not all of the animators were happy with the process, but it did give the key human characters a much more realistic look, most notably for Cinderella, Prince Charming, and Cinderella’s odious stepmother Lady Tremaine. The clash between realism and fantasy shouldn’t work as well as it does in Cinderella, but it works perfectly nonetheless, thanks in no small part to the legions of artists that Disney had at its disposal during that era. In 1965, the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical was again produced and released as a direct-to-television film, this time starring an 18-year-old Lesley Ann Warren in the leading role.
