About this deal

We are a rural business, with values deeply rooted in the Three Counties of Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire. All of the cider apples and perry pears that go into a Westons Cider product come from a 50-mile radius of the cider mill. The fruit is cared for by our local growers, some of which, we have been working with for many generations Weston’s’ Caple Rd Cider took out the best new world cider at the Australian Cider Awards. New world is an interesting category for this cider. When I think new world cider, I think of the big acids from Pink Ladies, Granny Smiths and Galas made in “the colonies” Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the US. I think light, bright and fizzy ciders suited to a hot climate and food pairings. When I think old world ciders, I think about the ciders made in the same way for hundreds of years in France, Spain and the UK. Famed for their heavier, dank flavours from bittersweet and bitter sharp apples. At the recent Australian Cider Awards the Weston’s Caple Rd took out the best new world cider. It must have had a good chill on it. Product Walk ahead with the hedge on your right (and some more great views of the Malvern Hills) for about 100m. TASTE & AROMA: Our medium-dry cloudy cider is left unfiltered to create a lightly hazy & golden colour, with a fresh & fruity aroma and full-bodied character intensified by its slow maturation.

We have a reedbed that was constructed in conjunction with the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (WWT) which helps to filter water and provides a habitat for nature There are no age limits to going on one of our tours, however we do ask all Under-18s be accompanied by a responsible adult. Under 18’s may not sample any alcohol in any circumstances. VEGAN, VEGETERIAN & GLUTEN FREE: Discover this range of rich, bright Herefordshire ciders that are all suitable for vegans, vegetarians, and coeliacs - perfect for every occasion At the far end of the orchard cross a stile and bridge into a field. Bear diagonally left and head for the far left of the field. Pass through a wide gateway and continue with the hedge on your right. OUR STORY: Refined over many years since 1880, Henry Westons Vintage Cider is now the UK's most loved apple cider brand, crafted only from bittersweet cider apples grown in a single year’s harvest in Herefordshire

Flavour Profile

Working so close to nature for 5 generations has been fundamental to the success of our company and we continue to focus on further sustainability initiatives for future generations We endeavour to ensure all our visitors enjoy their experience at our Cider Mill, therefore we have tried, where possible, to ensure that all our facilities are accessible with step-free access. Please be aware that we are a working Cider Mill situated on a 17 th Century farm and there are many steps, staircases and uneven surfaces.

TASTE: Hazy & still, our delicious medium-dry scrumpy cider is slowly fermented and spends time maturing in oak vats to create a full and fruity flavour We have worked with our bottle manufacturer to lightweight our glass, meaning less materials required in the manufacturing and less waste and energy used in the recyclingAfter approx 200m, the road sweeps up and round to the right, but take the left hand turn and follow this lane uphill for a further 300m. Shortened walk option – continue on the lane to the crossroads near Point 20. All our ciders are suitable for vegans and vegetarians as we do not use animal products or by-products in the production process Cider is made from apples, which do not contain gluten. All of our styles are made with the highest quality ingredients and are naturally gluten free and suitable for a coeliac diet.

The path crosses a stile and continues with the hedge on your left. Continue for approximately 50m looking out carefully for a bridge and stile through the hedge on your left. Cross this, and walk along the side of the field with the hedge on your left. We can discharge a majority of our waste water to the local brook, due to our in-house waste water system, meeting Environment Agency and ISO140001 standards. We ask that all visitors wishing to undertake a tour be capable of standing for extended periods of time and to be able to safely traverse uneven surfaces and steps and stairs. The tour is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchairs, pushchairs or visitors who struggle with mobility. At the waymark post on your right go through the gate, walk along the right hand side of the orchard and follow the fence as it turns steeply uphill for a short distance to a stile on your right. TASTE & AROMA: Our refreshing medium-dry sparkling cider is characterised by its unmistakable fruity aroma, full-bodied richness and smooth, rounded finish To make sure we are always improving our sustainability efforts, we hold the ISO14001 Certification All our ciders contain sulphites, which is an antioxidant vital for maintaining freshness and the levels are well within legal limits.

Caple Rd Cider is a new product to the Australian Cider market from the English Cider makers Weston’s. It breaks a few traditions for Weston’s, this is their first canned cider and first from any of the UK big players. You’ll learn about the history and craft of cider making with one of our expert guides, as we take you around our working cider mill and finish with a tutored tasting. The tour takes approximately an hour and a half in total. It is a walking tour with steps and stairs throughout. We ask all visitors to be aware of slippery and uneven surfaces, therefore we advise our visitors to wear suitable footwear and clothing suitable for going outside. At the top of the field cross over the stile and pass across a narrow bird cover crop and over the fence into a field. Turn diagonally left, heading towards the left of a green metal farm building. As you approach the far side of the field, look for a wooden stile in the hedge to your left.
