The two are most alike at the start, when the citrus is strongest. The sea notes are there, but it isn’t overly salty, and there is of course the ambergris. They are mostly all among Bvlgari’s most popular, with some other, underrated gems. Some will be more versatile than a few of the niche entries on the list and I try to describe where each one falls on the spectrum. Scent: Bvlgari Pour Homme Soir is a very simple, yet fantastic fragrance. This is simplicity done right. The opening of this fragrance is soothing and somewhat fresh. After a while, a nice woody note is added. The dry down of this fragrance exists of a base of amber and musk. These add warmth to this fragrance, as well as add a new layer to it. Overall, this is a very simple, yet extremely comforting, fresh, and easy to wear. The house of Bvlgari is a great fragrance house. It has many different types of fragrances, suitable for many different types of situations. The Bvlgari Aqva line and its flankers are all great fragrances to wear during the summer, whereas fragrances like Bvlgari Man and its flankers might work better during cooler seasons. Scent: Bvlgari Aqva Atlantiqve is a fantastic fragrance with a fresh, citrusy, and aquatic scent. The opening of this fragrance fresh and citrusy with a soft aquatic touch. This creates a very clean and pleasant scent. A little while later, you can start to get a stronger aquatic scent. The dry down of this fragrance turns the aquatic, citrusy scent into a more woody and spicier version. Overall, a fantastic fragrance and a great flanker of the original Bvlgari Aqva.

Atlantiqve does a great job at evoking the depths of the ocean, while still bringing the pleasant citrus notes. The latter stages really start to bring in the amber and drier notes. Salty with that amberwood note, that’s found in Light Blue Eau Intense. Notes: The top note of Bvlgari Aqva Amara is Sicilian mandarin. The middle note is neroli. The base notes are Indonesian patchouli and frankincense. Bvlgari Man is a woody fragrance that is soft, smooth, and sweet with that bit of honey at its heart. Man is not at all an overpowering fragrance, it is more of one that demands others get closer for a better aroma. 3. Bvlgari Aqva Marine

The house of Bvlgari was founded in 1884, however, they only started making fragrances since 1992. Ever since then, Bvlgari has released many different fragrances, both for men and women. There’s the citrus top of bergamot and a green herbal aroma of tea. This is all surrounded by the warm understated amber note and the crisp dryness of papyrus. Scent: Bvlgari Aqva Amara is a very pleasant scent with a nice, fresh, and refreshing scent. The opening of this fragrance is quite strong on a mandarin scent, creating a fruity, fresh, sweetness. Added to this is a fantastic neroli scent, adding even more fruity, fresh, sweetness. This fragrance has a very strong orange scent to it, along with a salty aspect. This saltiness represents the aquatic side of this fragrance, which makes for an interesting, fruity, salty scent. Scent: Bvlgari BLV is an incredible fragrance with a very clean, creamy scent. The opening of this fragrance is quite fresh with a creamy feel to it. This creates a very interesting scent, which is actually quite pleasant. After a little while, the citrus scent starts to disappear and makes way for soft tobacco scent. The dry down of this fragrance adds some woody notes. This creates an incredibly nice, creamy, and interesting fragrance. Overall, a fantastic fragrance to own. Blv is an every day wear for casual situations or an office environment. Man Extreme is led by citrus, with vetiver undertones. The woodiness and vetiver, is the major overlap between these colognes. Ultimately, the arrive at different places. The dry down is where this one really takes on its own unique qualities. Cypriol, cedar, and other woody notes combine with musk and amber in the base. Scent: Bvlgari Aqva Pour Homme is the first of what are now many ‘Bvlgari Aqva’ fragrances. This line is based around aquatic scents, hence the name. The opening of this fragrance is actually a little fresh and fruity. Added to this is a beautiful aquatic scent. This creates a very nice and refreshing fragrance. The dry down of this fragrance adds a little warmth, as well as an herbal touch, which goes great with the already fresh scent. You have to be a fan of the marine/oceanic fragrances to truly appreciate them.

10. Bvlgari Aqva Amara

The citrus and cactus blend, up top is really awesome. It’s a rather dry scent, much like the original, and you get the fresh and smoothness of vetiver in the latter stages. Along with, some light cardamom spice. Notes: The top notes of Bvlgari Aqva Pour Homme are mandarin and petitgrain. The middle notes are Santolina and Posidonia. The base notes are amber and clary sage. Most importantly, is the inclusion of a great and quite unique, cactus note. It is a freshly spiced citrus scent, for the warmer months, with a note which really helps to set it apart. Very nice, with good performance, and the sillage isn’t too loud.

Therefore, I’d recommend looking at your current collection and see what’s missing. Maybe you need a new summer fragrance, or maybe a new fall fragrance. The house of Bvlgari might be able to fill that spot, all for a respectable price! Both these fragrance lines have inspired quite a few flankers, which are all equally great. Overall, Bvlgari has many different fragrances, and most of them are pretty amazing. Blv also brings in its greenish tobacco note, mainly the flower, which plays quite well off of that ginger top. I really dig this one, as ginger, never seems to get much play as a strong note. It’s usually just a role player, but here, it gets the chance to shine.
