About this deal

This book was the perfect mix of sports, love, laughs and drama. I can’t recommend it enough–with the rest of the series. Author Rebecca Jenshak writes sports romance with so much personality and humor yet they are always sexy and touch on real issues and this book is my favorite from her yet. I would have never thought she could out do her last book but she does it again and again.. I am always so excited to read her next book because I know I’m getting everything I want in a sports romance and more.. I spent a good 40 percent of this book just enjoying the banter and playfulness of all the characters in this series.. The more time I spend taking care of him, the more he breaks down my defenses. He’s kind and considerate, and he makes my heart race. I’m finally ready to give him a chance, but there’s one little problem. My ex-boyfriend just got a new job as the assistant GM of the Wildcats. And the only thing he wants more than me is to screw over the man I’m falling for.

The second time he crashes into my life it’s as my patient. There’s no way he should remember me, but he does. Being Ash’s nurse is torture. He’s stubborn and frustrating, and he won’t stop flirting with me now that he knows I’m single. He’s even recruited the entire hospital to help him win me over. And it’s working. I should have known it wouldn’t be the last time. For some reason, the universe keeps throwing us together. They are both good characters, but together they become perfect. Sienna and Rhett are strong, sweet, loyal and they pour everything they have into their sports. I loved to know better Rhett and to find out he is one of the good men, and Sienna has pleasantly surprised me with her maturity. Well this was a goddamn bore. When I first started reading, I kinda thought this could be a fun read because the scene with Rhett hooking up with a girl he fell asleep on, plus his and Sienna's first meeting was pretty funny. But this fizzled out very fast. Sienna barely resisted him, and her worries about him being a player who would hurt her felt very forced and also didn't amount to anything. There was no conflict in this and no push and pull btwn the main characters, they were instantly into each other and they were being flirty from jump. I thought there would be some conflict with Rhett's ex-girlfriend Carrie, but even that turned into nothing. Well actually it turned into something big, but I cared so little and it didn't seem to matter much since throughout the whole book Rhett kept complaining about her. I can't help but wonder why I'm supposed to care about what happens to this character when I learned nothing positive or personal about her throughout the whole story, she was practically a stranger so who gives a shit? Rhett didn't even like her and had nothing good to say about her, all his friends hated her, so seriously who cares?

A warning though, towards the end the story takes a sharp turn and gets quite heavy so be aware of that before you dive into the story. Such a fine wording, a good plot with funny and heavy topics perfectly blended, and a cute and hot romance between the main characters. Rhett is absolutely adorable, swoon worthy and sincere from the beginning, even tho Sienna thinks he’s a total player! I’ve been intrigued by Rhett since the beginning of the series. His relationship with his girlfriend didn’t seem healthy. End of the previous book, they broke up, so it was time to see how a guy who had never really been single would deal with dating. It was priceless! I love awkward characters.

I was laughing, swooning, smiling, crying and rooting while reading this book! I’d totally give more than 5 stars if I could! This book is most definitely much heavier than the others- there is a gravitas in general to bother characters already given past pains both are working through - Rhett’s revolving around his ex. And Rebecca handles a heavier story with such aplomb- keeping the sweet lightness I love about her stories while also making space for more angst and the more complicated emotional components to this story. It makes the story feel messier, more challenging, but that also makes it more rewarding. And brilliantly so far this is the only couple who don’t already have some sort of connection to one another- somehow the characters with the least foundation have their connection challenged the most, and that makes it feel rewarding and makes their connection feel more unbreakable. There is a palpable vulnerability to this story that I found so compelling and moving- and I felt like I’ve never connected with two Jenshak characters as deeply as the result. Two minutes ago I wouldn't have thought I was capable of laughing. All day I've been worrying about her, but here I am smiling and feeling calmer. That's just what it's like with Sienna. She makes bad days better. She makes everything better. If you are looking for a fun and sweet college sports romance with great characters, look no further!I don’t know what else to say other than Rebecca Jenshak just keeps getting better and better and I love the college sports romance world she has created with this series and the one that came before it. The characters are so likable and that's one thing that never changes with Jenshak's books. I loved Rhett and Sienna together! Rhett is so loyal, caring and sweet you just want to hug him. Sienna was a great heroine and I really want to have her as my friend. This was an amazing experience, I recommend to read it and I'm sure these characters will steal your heart. Broken Hearts (Campus Nights #3) by Rebecca Jenshak is a standalone college, friends to lovers, sports romance full of emotion, humor and angst. It's super sexy and I absolutely adored this hero! Rhett is a really good guy. The kind all dad's hope their daughter's bring home. He so genuine and loveable, but also adorably awkward. I couldn't get enough of him! I love this series and can't wait for more!!! <333

Rhett, is the definition of good boy, the one you’ll take home for the holidays. He has always been in a relationship, and now is single. So his goal was to make up for his lost time, and experience college at the fullest. Until her at least… If you loved the off-campus series by Elle Kennedy , I highly recommend this one. You’ll love it for sure!

Their journey was like being on a rollercoaster of emotions, you go from the sweetest moments to the sexiest ones in a blink of an eye. Their relationship was really cute, and somewhat realistic for a college romance–something nice and fun slowly becomes more serious. And though there’s little drama–at least until close to the end–that doesn’t mean the romance is shallow and meaningless. A few interesting elements are developped, like what it is like to live with a potentially deadly heart condition but still wanting to live, how to deal with a clingy ex.
