About this deal

I found this to be the most emotionally written of Beth's books, one that leaves an impact on your mind. I cannot recommend it enough; it is bursting with feeling * The Belfast Telegraph * Also i tend to listen to audiobooks at like 1.3 or something as i mostly find the reading too slow but i actually didnt need to do it for Evanna Lynch as she reads in a good pace for me at the normal speed but as i felt like every narrator had different reading paces i had to change the speed of the audio every chapter kinda as if i kept it the same throughout it sounded either too slow or too fast in some of the chapters. Y no porque lo diga yo, sino porque lo dicen las lectoras que ya han sucumbido a esta maravillosa historia❤️

An unexpected love story, The No-Show is an utterly extraordinary tear-jearker of a book, a heart-breaking and joyful novel about dating, and waiting, and the ways love can find us. Content warnings: self-harm, alcoholism, obsession, stalking, sexual harassment, miscarriage, dementia. This story begins to be quite confusing, although, approximately halfway through the book, it starts to make sense.

Christmas Gifts

a.m. Siobhan's looking forward to her date with Joseph. Breakfast on Valentine's Day surely means something ... so where is he? Beth O'Leary is that rare, one-in-a-million talent who can make you laugh, swoon, cry and ache all in the same book and The No-Show is her most moving yet. O'Leary's wit, charm and heart are on full, fantastic display in this cosy, surprising and deeply satisfying novel. I couldn't possibly love it more * Emily Henry * What can I say, in fact? Other than that she definitely ‘fooled’ me (no doubt about that)…I was also wistfully reminded of some storyline developments in Lessons in Chemistry (those who have read both books might know what I am referring to) and this added to my burgeoning affection for this book. And for the writer. Because she knows what romance needs to be engaging. Because she takes small but solid risks, wanting to pursue a writing path that is her own...Simply because she is an exceptionally talented storyteller. Siobhan, Miranda, and Jane are stood up by their boyfriend on Valentine's Day. Men are cads, right? Oh wait, it seems that the boyfriend that stood these three women up are the same man! I can’t even imagine how long it took Beth to write this book, the skill behind unravelling so many stories at one time and getting that onto paper is remarkable to me, she is so unbelievably talented and her work is such a pleasure to read. This book is 100% worth reading this Summer, if you like romance, drama and a large plot twist that makes you audibly gasp, you’ll love this!

The best way to enjoy this story it to go into it blindly, which is what I did. I'm so glad I didn't know the big twist and this is one of the rare times that I didn't figure it out until it was served to me on a platter, towards the end of the story. The twist changed my perspective on everything that had happened earlier in the book. a.m. Siobhan’s looking forward to her date with Joseph. Breakfast on Valentine’s Day surely means something … so where is he? I found myself frequently giggling at this book, and underlining my favorite phrases. There’s plenty of zingy dialogue and pithy noticings about social dynamics. Siobhan in particular is entertainingly self aware. This is the story of three women, Siobhan, Jane, and Miranda, all of whom get stood up by the same man on Valentine's Day, and what happens after that.
