Kahlua is another famous coffee flavored liqueur that was created in Mexico by Jose Arroyo in the early 1930s. You can use either Kahlua or Tia Maria (or another coffee liqueur for your shot). Tia Maria has a slightly sweeter taste than Kahlua. Why Is it called A Baby Guinness Shot? This Baby Guinness Shot is made with coffee and Irish cream liqueurs, and looks just like a tiny glass of Guinness stout! The coffee liqueur mimics the color of stout beer, while the Irish cream liqueur mimics the foam, or "head", on top of the beer. Super cute, right? Hold a teaspoon above the shot glass at an angle, and very slowly pour on the Irish cream liqueur.You want to go very slowly with this process. Pouring slowly and using the spoon will allow this to later “float” on top of the coffee liqueur which will create the look of a real Guinness beer. When first looking at the Baby Guinness Shot, one could think it actually contains the classic dark stout from the world-renowned Irish brewery.

Making this recipe requires only two ingredients: Irish cream and Coffee liqueur such as Tia Maria or Kahlua.
