About this deal

Fully compatible with the latest Godox 2.4Ghz X-Series triggers, the AD300Pro’s built-in receiver continues the success of the user friendly X1T, X2T and XPro. Using these latest Godox X-Series of triggers, the AD300Pro allows full TTL and HSS remote power control up to 100m (~300ft) away. It can fully support Canon E-TTL, Nikon i-TTL, Sony TTL, Fuji TTL and Olympus TTL systems.

Fully Supporting TTL auto flash, Flash Exposure Compensation, First Curtain Sync, Second Curtain Sync, Manual Flash, Multi Flash etc. The AD300 Pro works with multiple camera brands and various accessories using the appropriate adapter. The AD300 Pro allows High Speed Shooting of up to 1/8000th of a second, allowing you to catch that perfect action through beautiful crisp images with perfect lighting. Photographers from diverse skill levels will find something to like about the AD-Pro range. From its compact and portable design to its impressive output, advanced features, and overall performance, these lights have fast become a staple in the toolkits of professionals and enthusiasts alike. There is a light for everyone in the Godox AD-Pro range, from the tiny AD100Pro, the uniquely designed AD200Pro, up to the very powerful AD400Pro and AD600Pro. All offer different power outputs but are built around the same fundamentals of portable battery power and one unifying wireless system for controlling any and all lights in the range. At flash power settings up to and including 1/4 maximum power, recycle speeds proved virtually instantaneous in our tests, official specifications rating them at around 1/100th of a second. Recycling is still fast at 1/2 and full-power settings, recorded at 0.5 and 1.5 seconds respectively.

The Godox AD300Pro’s compact portable body hides a deceptively powerful flash and easy-to-use wireless controls

TTL AND HSS COMPATIBILITY: Fully Supporting TTL auto flash, Flash Exposure Compensation, First Curtain Sync, Second Curtain Sync, Manual Flash, Multi Flash etc. The AD300 Pro works with multiple camera brands and various accessories using the appropriate adapter. The AD300 Pro allows High-Speed Shooting of up to 1/8000th of a second, allowing you to catch that perfect action through beautiful crisp images with perfect lighting. The AD300 Pro is a bare-bulb flash that uses the proprietary Godox mount (don’t freak out yet) for attaching light modifiers. As of writing, the selection of modifiers for this mount is very limited. At launch you really only have reflectors and collapsible softboxes like the AD-S65 and AD-S85. There are plans for a grid, snoot, gels, and more, but they have yet to hit shelves in the U.S. While I put little weight in the aesthetics of photography tools, the display and buttons do look dated when compared to the competition. Battery and Recycle Speed I tested the flash durations using the Sekonic L-858d-u light meter, and the results were all better than the figures Godox includes on the display. In this cookie, PrestaShop stores data that allows it to keep the user's session open, such as currency, language, customer ID and other information necessary for the proper operation of the store.

Unfortunately, controlling the Bi-color LED lamp can only be done from the AD300 Pro menu, as it’s not currently available on any X Series transmitter. Otherwise, once you set the channel and group, the only reason you should have to touch the display often is to turn the light on and off. The design of the A D300 Pro also leaves the display completely exposed should a drop occur, a lesson I thought Godox learned between the AD200 and AD200 Pro. I tested the light in an indirect softbox to eliminate the chance of a hot spot influencing the result. With a rechargeable lithium battery, up to 320 full power flashes, you can focus on making the most of your day and get more work done. Battery charges in less than 2,5 hours. The battery of AD200 &AD200PRO can also fit AD300Pro. In addition, the device provides a very short charging time - 1.5 seconds at full flash power. The AD200 Pro and the AD200 have an awful lot in common; both lights offer 200Ws of power, a transmission range of 100m, TTL and HSS capabilities, 32 channels, around 500 full-power flashes, as well as both offering a lightweight and portable flash photography option. The Godox Ad300Pro stands out as an exceptional off-camera flash, making it an ideal choice for a wide range of photographers. It strikes a perfect balance between delivering top-notch lighting quality, effortless wireless control, and a budget-friendly price point. For light output, the AD300 Pro fits directly between the AD400 Pro and AD200 Pro. It was a half stop more powerful than the AD200, and a half stop less powerful than the AD400 Pro, which makes perfect sense. A closeup view of the AD300 Pro’s display and controls Interface and Design This ability to overpower the sun comes from the massive 600Ws of power that this light can produce. This light has a power range of 1/256-1/1 in 10 increments, a recycling time of 0.01-0.9s, as well as sporting TTL and HSS capabilities.

The AD600 Pro also offers a very powerful modeling lamp, meaning that this light can also be used as a video light alongside its flash capabilities! Offering a 38w light, as well as a 4-hour battery life from a single charge, the AD600 Pro is a great tool for both videography and flash photography. Godox is not responsible for financial losses and other civil law consequences caused by a defect in the advertised device (loss of profit, turnover, inability to conduct business). I will give credit to Godox for improving the light quality of this modeling lamp. It has a CRI average of 95.4, which means it does a decent job at accurately representing colors, and its Kelvin temperature was accurate when testing with my Sekonic C-800 colorimeter. Testing the Godox AD300 Pro Bi-Color LED with the Sekonic C-800 Color AccuracyThe strobe is equally accurate as the AD200 Pro in it’s stable color mode, at +/-100k. With stable color off it’s +/-200k. Testing with the C-800 colorimeter, I saw color temperatures in the 5900-6000k range with color stable mode on. Stable color mode can be turned on or off in the custom functions. When off, the flash durations are shorter. Whilst these two flashes are very similar, the AD200 Pro has the edge on the AD200, meaning that of the two, it is the AD200 Pro that you will struggle to find a Godox user without! The AD200 Pro is the most popular of this entire range for its versatility, and portable nature.

BUILT-IN GODOX 2.4G WIRELESS SYSTEM: Fully compatible with the latest Godox 2.4Ghz X-Series triggers, the AD300Pro’s built-in receiver continues the success of the user-friendly X1T, X2T and XPro.

Godox AD300 Pro Review | Conclusion

Due to its size, the AD100 Pro is a great light to hold and maneuver as you need. Because it is so light and small, it is perfect for squeezing into tight spaces and angles to achieve the perfect lighting. It can also be simply held in your hand and moved around accordingly which isn’t possible or can be uncomfortable with bigger and heavier lights. Master and Slave Function:AD300Pro can use in combination with Godox TTL camera flashes, TTL outdoor flashes etc. The power from the light is enough for any small to medium-sized studio for full-length shots. For my portraits with the light only one to two meters away, I only needed to use the flash with a fraction of its power to give me the results I was after. The quality of light is also great – the color was consistent throughout my shoot, with no obvious or varying color casts over the series of images I shot. The AD300Pro has an internal fan that will come on after enough consecutive flashes for the temperature to rise, the fan is a little whiney, but the volume isn’t loud enough to be annoying, and my music in the studio easily covered it up. The AD300 Pro comes with an advanced lithium-ion battery that has been designed for performance, making it more reliable than ever when shooting on location. The battery is loaded into the underside of the unit to keep it super compact due to its small size, whilst still offering a recycle time of just 0.01-1.5s with up to approximately 320 full power flashes. The AD300 Pro battery is completely interchangeable, allowing one to be on charge whilst the other is firing away.
