About this deal

Sorry you feel Yonex 30/40 aren’t as good in terms of speed etc. We find them the best on the market here. If I had the choice, I would play and coach with Aerosensa 50 all the time, they are really superb. But, the cost is just too expensive for now.

Budget: Due to the considerable durability of the nylon Yonex Mavis shuttles, they are much better suited to players looking to play on a tight budget. For players only looking to use the more expensive feather shuttles, the Yonex AS10's offer a budget friendly option, however many players upgrade to AS30s as they consider the greater durability to be worth the extra initial cost. Whether you’re playing club badminton, league badminton, tournament badminton or booking a court with friends, you have to play with the best shuttle for your budget. As Yonex are probably the most expensive brand, this may mean you won’t use them, but they are the best. The AS30 is the Standard bearing shuttle in the whole Yonex range. These shuttles are very popular with a lot of clubs who use them for matches and club play as they have the perfect mixture of playability, durability and value. I’m an avid tester of shuttles as I do a lot of coaching. I’ve been coaching for over 20 years and playing for over 30 years.

At the end of the day, choose what’s right for you. If you haven’t tested Aerosensa shuttles then they are worth a try. Personally, I only use Aerosensa 30, 40 or 50. I’m currently trying some of the Aeroclub 07 which are pretty good although not as resilient as Aerosensa range.

For consistency in flight they were as good as Aerosensa 30, maybe 40, but not 50. Victor were also good. We tested a few for durability which is difficult when they’re incorrect speed. However, they were pretty good, as were Victor although neither lasted as long as Aerosensa 30. Similar to the clear test, we also measured AS-30’s feather diameter and cork circumference before and after the smash test. Here are the results: The AS-30 was pretty unplayable after 100 clears but it’s definitely in a bad shape after 200 clears and completely unplayable. Overall, not too bad though. Staying in decent shape for the first 50 to 70 clears while also not breaking any feather stems even after 200 clears gives it decent marks. As a more recent development there very few currently available in the UK. The most established hybrid is the Kawasaki King Kong 500 Hybrid To determine flight and consistency, we will look at tests 1 and 2. To determine durability, we will use tests 3 and 4.Take a look at this table to determine what shuttle speed you should get depending on the temperature of your badminton gym: Sadly, the Aeroplane shuttles were the slowest of the three being nearly 2 feet short of the service line. Victor were slightly better and Yonex were spot on. Let’s face it, whether we like it or not, the cost of playing our beloved game is increasing. Fortunately, the costs aren’t so high as to make the game elitist because that would be the biggest shame of all. The feather diameter decreased by .4 cm (.2 in), or 6%, which really isn’t that much. The feathers pretty much remained at full length but was slightly squished inwards.
