About this deal

Snap My Pitch Up' – The famous guests and entertainers were presented with pitches for their participation films or shows with titles typically based around the stars' name.

As a journalist, Wallace has worked for The Scotsman, The Guardian, The Independent, Elle, Cosmo, The Times and other publications. Very funny, but with a moral too, this is an amusing, easy read which also leaves you thinking about your own life and how you could learn from the book. This is something that I don't think many books could claim to do (or if anyone knows of any that can - please recommend them!) Wallace and co-presenter Richard Glover decided to leave after they were asked to pre-record their show instead of broadcast live, which would have taken away from the interactive nature of the show.Wallace's debut novel, Charlotte Street, was released on 10 May 2012 under Ebury Publishing. It follows journalist Jason Priestley's search to find a woman who has dropped a disposable camera. Yes Man kind of did things slightly differently, because they bought it before it was even in the shops. There were lots of people who wanted it. I went with the nicest people, who I thought would maintain the spirit of the book. And I was proved right in that I'm still really good friends with most of them, years later. Andreeva, Nellie (17 October 2012). "ABC Buys Comedies From Danny Wallace And Duo Jennifer Crittenden & Gaby Allan". Deadline Hollywood . Retrieved 1 January 2013. Danny has been writing Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, continually writing for the ShortList column, making appearances on TV and radio, and has been hailed as the BBC's Artist in Residence. I, Danny Wallace, being of sound mind and body, do hereby write this manifesto for my life. I swear I will be more open to opportunity. I swear I will live my life taking every available chance. I will say Yes to every favour, request, suggestion and invitation. I WILL SWEAR TO SAY YES WHERE ONCE I WOULD SAY NO.'

Miami Herald Yes Man Review". The Miami Herald. December 19, 2008. Archived from the original on May 3, 2009 . Retrieved December 21, 2008.In October 2012, American television network ABC added a comedy project to be co-produced by Wallace entitled Man & Boy. [26]

Recently single, Danny is alone and on a road to nowhere. One day on that road, a stranger on a bus tells him to say "yes" more. A months-long journey that changes not only Danny's life but perhaps the world ensues. Wallace's second solo book, Yes Man was published in July 2005. In it, he describes how he spent six months "saying Yes where once I would have said No", to make his life more interesting and positive. In this book he shows the tribulations and mischief that he got up to while he said yes to any question or proposal. The book was described as "one of those rare books that actually has the potential to change your life" by the San Francisco Bay Guardian and as "a fascinating book and a fascinating experiment" by David Letterman. A film adaptation of Yes Man was developed with Warner Bros. and stars Jim Carrey and Zooey Deschanel. It was released in 2008 in the US and the UK. Wallace appeared on screen in a cameo in a bar scene in the last ten minutes of the film, holding a British pint glass. The Join Me phenomenon centred on Wallace gathering together like-minded souls through the marvel that is the information superhighway, and getting them to perform random acts of kindness. He dubbed it the Karma Army, and wrote Join Me when he'd amassed enough people (there were 8,000 in the end; five years on, he still gets new members) quite legitimately to call it an army. Before that, he had produced a small book of random acts, of which my favourite two are number 347 ("Contradict demeaning graffiti", with an illustration saying, "Andy Smells"; "No, he does not") and number 281 ("Leave a bowl of milk out in the garden for a hedgehog, or, if you're reading this in Africa, a lion").

A former BBC comedy producer, he produced the Mighty Boosh (Radio 4), Ross Noble Goes Global (Radio 4) and many others. He has written for dozens of newspapers and magazines, including Elle, Cosmopolitan, The Guardian, and The Sun. Brandon Gray (December 22, 2008). " 'Yes Man,' 'Seven Pounds' Lead Quiet Pre-Christmas Weekend". Box Office Mojo. Danny seems to relish personal challenges, from finding 54 other people called Dave Gorman, in his first book Are You Dave Gorman? written in collaboration with his then flatmate, comedian Dave Gorman, to starting a cult, or rather a ‘collective’, in Join Me. F You Very Much is about to come out in the States, so if that’s what brought you here, welcome. Now leave a nice review and tell all your pals, okay? In his review for The Miami Herald, Rene Rodriguez wrote, " Yes Man is fine as far as Jim Carrey comedies go, but it's even better as a love story that just happens to make you laugh." [16] Kyle Smith of The New York Post wrote: "The first time I saw Yes Man, I thought the concept was getting kind of stale toward the end. As it turns out, that was only the trailer." [17] Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun Times gave the film 2 out of 4, and compared it to Liar Liar. He said "Jim Carrey works the premise for all it's worth, but it doesn't allow him to bust loose and fly.". [18] Box office [ edit ]
