Ze strandt op Inchborn, een afgelegen eiland waar alleen Gregor, een norse ornitholoog verblijft, en ze zijn op elkaar aangewezen terwijl de storm blijft woeden. Hun totaal verschillende karakters botsen, wat leidt tot scherpe dialogen vol sarcasme en plaagstootjes en onbegrip voor de wijze waarop de ander in het leven staat, dus die redding vanaf het vasteland kan niet snel genoeg komen… Tijdens een storm moet Morag een noodlanding maken op een afgelegen eiland. Ze raakt daar gestrand, ver van de bewoonde wereld en de enige persoon die daar woont is Gregor Cameron. Gregor is een norse ornitholoog die het eiland verzorgt. Voorlopig zitten ze met elkaar opgescheept.. I’m used to metaphorically wrapping myself up in one of her books to feel all cozy and warm and happy. This book took a little longer for that to happen, in fact, I was starting to think it wasn’t going to happen at all. Wrong! LOL Toward the end of the book I actually felt a bit teary but with happiness not sadness for the two main characters who took me along on their journey of discovery. Each flight, or leg, is alternated between the two pilots. It would be a very rare case for one pilot to do all the flying even in one day. In fact, I can’t imagine when that would happen. So the idea that Morag would not fly as a first officer/“copilot” in her next position, one of the general premises of the story, is false. Olen tykännyt Rosie Hopkins -sarjan kirjoista todella paljon, sillä niissä on jotenkin todella ihana tunnelma.
