About this deal

As above, it’s well-made. Every part is finely engineered from good-quality materials. This includes 32 calibrated giant springs that give a good, low impact bounce (though perhaps not quite in the same league as the Fit Bounce Pro II). The non-slip, double cross-stitched mat is durable and, combined with non-marking rubber feet, make it one of the more stable models that I’ve tried out. All the products have ensured safety and are certified with ASTM standards. The best thing about these trampolines is the handle grip, and the metal springs that assure you or your kids never fall off and get injured while jumping.

Most DVD workout programs are designed for beginners, but the movements on the DVD that involve the rebounder can be quite advanced. Twisting movements on a trampoline are especially dangerous to the knee. If you do use the workout DVD, take things slow. Get used to the movements that are being instructed. In October 2016, the American Council on Exercise (ACE) — the leading nonprofit organization certifying health coaches and exercise professionals — sponsored a study on rebounders. In the article "Putting Mini-trampolines to the Test" they write, "ACE enlisted the help of John Porcari, Ph.D., and his team of researchers in the Department of Exercise and Sport Science at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse." [13] Reservations aside, we found the Jandecfit very enjoyable to use. The 101cm frame and 76cm jumping zone makes it a little bigger than the two models above and whilst this is great when using it, it doesn’t have the folding option for storing it. Be sure to do different types of moves on your trampoline so you don’t overuse the same muscles each time you work out. It is one of the most reasonably priced rebounders we tested and we were seriously blown away with both the ease of setup, and the overall build quality.

How does it benefit the body?

One of our testers, a certified personal trainer, loved this rebounder for its fantastic bounce, consistent comfort, and lightweight design. Not only can you fold up the legs, but the entire rebounder also folds in half and fits into a carry case for easy portability and storage in small spaces. Consider a 38-inch rebounder if you’re travelling with it, if you have limited space, or if you have a smaller frame. A bigger, 50-inch rebounder is best if you’re tall or if you have the room for it. These make all the difference, to me. It’s all too common to see complete beginners trying to set up a fitness programme, with best intentions, with all the right kit, only to flail because they don’t know what they’re doing. This kind of readily available expert instruction means that the Fit Bounce Pro II is accessible to all, right from the off.

To work your pelvic floor on the rebounder, place a soft, squishy exercise ball between your knees. Then, begin slowly bouncing as you breathe into your pelvis. It may help to place your hands on your pubic bone to focus on this area. The MaXimus PRO has something for everyone and although the marketing states it can be used by professionals it is perfectly suited for home use – perhaps more so than the Bounce PRO II. The quarter folding design means it can be stored away in the included carry bag very easily – you can also easily transport it somewhere else. It has resistance bands that can be attached to the base of the rebounder which allow you to add some resistance training in to your workout. This means you can really work your core and upper body as well as targeting the lower body when using it more like a trampoline. You also get two 1lb sand weights to use to add additional free weight to any exercise you do. What do they do for you, exactly? The benefits of fitness trampolines range from improved heart health to better balance, according to Diana Van Heerden, Head of Fitness at London’s Frame workout studios, which hosts regular Rebounding classes. "Fitness trampolines provide really effective cardiovascular exercise and strengthen your lower body muscles at the same time," she says. "A trampoline also forces you to engage your core, helping improve your balance and coordination, while strengthening your pelvic floor muscles as an added bonus." The largest two differences between rebounders, other than manufacturing materials, relate to the source of elasticity and to stability. [5] As this mechanism is responsible for carrying the weight of the user, their longevity and responsiveness directly affect the rebounding experience. Elastic cords (also called "bungee cords") [6] and piano wire springs are the main options for elasticity. [7] Historically, rebounders have had straight legs, but newer high-end rebounders use arched legs that go beyond the diameter of the frame, preventing rebounders from tipping.

Choose the best rebounder for your needs, and that’s why we described six different models. Although all of them are sturdy and high-quality, they serve different purposes. As such, take into account your shape, preexisting conditions, your goals, and your needs for portability before choosing. It’s an incredibly tough piece of equipment, too, with a 140kg upper weight limit (308lbs, so comparable to other tough models on this list). The frame is hardy and well-made, all from good materials, meaning that anybody should feel secure using it. The trampoline itself felt sturdy and had a mat strength similar to the Boogie Bounce - I felt I really had to dig my feet in hard to get a good bounce out of it, which translated to a good burn in my calves and glutes by the end of the workout. Sportplus' Fitness Trampoline with Barhad a great bounce and strong, firm legs. We liked that the trampoline was sturdy and high-quality, but we found that the handlebar was completely unstable and moved with little pressure. A good rebounder for beginners will come with stability bars. Though not strictly necessary, especially for seasoned bouncers, they can greatly enhance your workout and keep you a lot safer as you train.
