About this deal

Daniel Rachel imagines what the next Beatles album might have been like, with painstaking detail and great stories’– David Hepworth, The Guardian The Lost Album’ was born from the idea of gathering for the first time all the Beatles unreleased compositions, performed by themselves, as well as cover versions that were not included in any official album. Watching Rainbows’ (only in the final part – jam) – added a bass overdub made by fan, using strictly the same Paul’s model bass and strings. An award-winning music author takes a serious look at a playful question of pop what if the Beatles had created one more album? The tumult, the triumph and the toilery of the 90s…a who’s who of the decade’ SHAUN KEAVENY, BBC 6 MUSIC

Reeperbahn Bop' (My Bonnie and The Saints)*(1), 'Be-Bop-A-Lula'*(2) and 'Hallelujah I Love Her So'*(3) extracts from the instrumental parts performed by Beatles sung by other vocalists (1)Tony Sheridan, (2) Fred Fascher, (3) Horst Fascher. The Lost Album' project was born from the idea of gathering for the first time all the Beatles unreleased compositions. We would like to thank all the amazing collector heroes who have been providing us with unpublished material spread over thousands of bootlegs. For a baby boomer like me, 12 years old when the Beatles broke through in 1962 and a mere 19 when they called it a day in 1969, it’s curious to watch the love objects of my teenage years still being pored over by grownups more than 50 years later. Writers such as Daniel Rachel may be adults today but they’re nonetheless too young to have experienced the Beatles in real time. They know more about their story than I do because they’ve read a lot of the books. Not all of them of course. Nobody could do that.

This goes against the bootlegger collector's idea to research. The effort is part of the adventure!”. In contrast, this economist believes that an additional album would have fallen somewhere between Let It Be and The White Album, with an overall sound somewhat akin to “Free as a Bird,” or perhaps also Ringo’s “I’m the Greatest,” penned by John and cut with George as well. Good stuff, but I’m still glad they split. Get that Q up, especially given that market power was present!

I tore through it, savouring every high and low point of this hazy, hard-to-define epoch’ EVENING STANDARD But what if it didn’t end? What if just one of those chances was taken, and the Beatles carried on? What if they made one last, great album?
