About this deal

Its seamless construction mimics that of Matt Smith’s own hero prop and the die-cast metal components make sure that it feels weighty in the hand. Complete with its covered stand, FX Mode with 11 different sonic buzzes, beeps and scanning sounds from the universe of Doctor Who, and its automatic Morse code broadcast every hour, the Wand Company’s Eleventh Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver redefines the fit, feel and functionality of prop replicas. As rivets were not needed in the Sonic Screwdriver URC design, to keep manufacturing costs down, fake brass rivet features were incorporated into the lower cage moulding. The Doctor has regenerated, and he has a new Sonic screwdriver! Accompanying David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor in the 60th Anniversary specials, this sonic has a new but familiar form, just like the Doctor! In FX Mode, if the Sonic Screwdriver is left motionless, it flashes its tip every two seconds. After one minute it runs a system diagnostic and broadcasts a Morse coded message to say that it is alright. After that, as long as it remains motionless, every 1963 flashes (that’s just about every hour or so) the Sonic Screwdriver wakes up and broadcasts one of eleven different catchphrases of the Eleventh Doctor in Morse code. After months of speculation it is now official, the Twelfth Doctor’s Second Sonic Screwdriver is to be part of the Character Options’ toy collection.

The main body of David Tennant’s screen-used prop is attached to the Sonic Screwdriver structure by three screws. On the original prop, these are painted to match the main body colour. For the Sonic Screwdriver URC, these screws are not necessary and so have been omitted from the design. When it comes to do-it-yourself tasks, nothing works better than having a multi-tool kit handy. Be it for small repairs like fixing a broken shelf or a full-fledged DIY project like making your own garden furniture, our multi-tools are just the right thing to do a variety of work without having to call for a professional service. The Wand Company’s classic, Eleventh Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver universal remote control is a beautifully designed and highly detailed working replica of the Eleventh Doctor’s iconic gadget. It has been carefully fabricated from a mix of copper plated die-cast metal, engineering plastics and soft-touch, leather-effect, thermoplastic rubber to give a truly realistic product.

Rubbertoe Replicas is pleased to present a faithful replica of the brand-new Fourteenth Doctors Sonic Screwdriver, designed for the regenerated Fourteenth Doctor, played by David Tennant. The Fourteenth Doctor’s Sonic was principally designed by Doctor Who Props Art Director Michael Van Kesteren, with input and guidance from Production Designer Phil Sims.

Al Dewar, Head of Product Development, commented: “Since the announcement of David Tennant’s return as the Fourteenth Doctor, I think it’s safe to say fans have been a wee bit keen to know much more about this as yet unseen iteration of the Sonic. Its look and function have been (rightly) entirely shrouded in mystery, and now with this Doctor’s essential accessory is officially unveiled, it’s a pure delight for us to confirm that in partnership with the BBC and Bad Wolf Studios, we have been able to produce a really different and special version of this absolutely beautiful sonic. The original prop does not produce sound. The sounds that you hear when the Tenth Doctor is using the Sonic Screwdriver in the TV show are sound effects, added after the filming has finished in the post-production stage.Best of all, though, was its ability to make free money pour out of cash machines! This model served the Tenth Doctor too, but when it was severely damaged soon after his regeneration, it was time for a major change!

Although we are yet to discover all of the new Sonic’s abilities, like the Doctor himself, it has become ever more complex and mysterious. In a move welcomed by many fans (well this fan at least) The Wand Company have released the 10th Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver as a universal remote control. Last year’s 11th Doctor sonic was an impressive release, giving you not just a programmable IR remote, but also a solid feeling replica of Matt Smith’s sonic screwdriver. This year sees the release of David Tennant’s Sonic, a replica based on 3D scanning the actual sonic used in the TV show.

This is the first Sonic to have 4 light modes and four sound FX. The model has been designed as a replica from the Series 9 Prop. The Doctor didn’t replace the sonic for ages – the next time we saw one was when the Seventh Doctor used a similar model to seal a casket containing the Master’s remains. Character Options is proud to present the new Sonic screwdriver in toy form! It features light and sound FX as well as an opening and extending action – all operated from a single button on the handle. Character Options is delighted to announce a brand-new exclusive for its iconic Doctor Who Collection, as the Fourteenth Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver (first seen on preview day at San Diego Comic-Con on 19th July 2023) is now released for sale at www.character-online.com.The first images have been released with confirmation that the eagerly awaited Sonic will be on sale within weeks! This new toy version is a faithful recreation of the current Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver which debuted in the Series 9 Episode ‘Hell Bent’. The War Doctor also used a modified version of this sonic during the Time War, but had swapped the emitter head for a more simple light-up one. the war doctor TARDIS connections Al Dewar, Head of Product Development, commented: “Since the announcement of David Tennant’s return as the Fourteenth Doctor, I think it’s safe to say fans have been a wee bit keen to know much more about this as yet unseen iteration of the Sonic.
