When Tails shows Sigma the translator he installed on his Data Pad, Mecha Sonic notices and stares at it for a few moments. Sigma informs Sonic and Tails that they need to go to the Death Egg to find a spare part, and Sonic decides to tag along, though he gives Mecha Sonic another glare. Mecha Sonic takes Sonic and Sigma on a small detour to water the flower, with the latter explaining that Mecha Sonic hoped to one day plant it in real soil. Mecha, Sonic and Sigma later arrive at the abandoned Egg Carrier, and Sigma splits up with Mecha and Sonic to find the part they need. For an unknown amount of time, the Scrapniks began to live on a deserted Death Egg and began their own civilization there with recycled machines and spare parts. They called it " Scrapnik Island" after their group name, the "Scrapniks".
