About this deal

Samsung Health: turn your home into a personal gym with the Samsung Health app, letting you enjoy classes, wellness routines and family challenges. HDR deepens your view and shows shades previously unseen in home entertainment. Expanding light, dark and every colour in between to extraordinary new levels, this model's picture gets closer to real life. With HDR10+, colour, contrast and detail are precisely optimised. This screen has four times the number of pixels than Full HD TVs, delivering stunning realism, natural motion and incredible detail. High Dynamic Range expands light, dark, and every colour in between for a picture that's closer to real life. With HDR10+, colour, contrast and detail are precisely optimised.

And, um, that’s really just about it. The AU7100 is nicely made, from plastics that don’t feel overtly cheap, and at 59mm deep it’s not the bloater some other affordable LCD designs are. Prices valid in stores (all including VAT) until close of business on 25th November 2023. (Some of these web prices are cheaper than in-store, so please mention that you've seen these offers online.) Even the most expensive TVs tend to play it safe design-wise, so no one should really be expecting any out-there design flourishes where a mainstream model like the AU7100 is concerned. And sure enough, there aren’t any - which is undoubtedly a good thing. The percentage of the approximate area, taken by the active part of the screen, to the total front area.In fairness, the Samsung sounds reasonably distinct through the midrange, so dialogue is easy to follow. It doesn’t get edgy or in any other way unhappy if you decide to deploy every last one of those 20 watts, either. Motion looks reasonably natural too, once you’ve swapped the over-enthusiastic, noisy-looking Auto Picture Clarity setting for a calmer Custom mode where Judder Reduction is set to around three or four. There does seem to be a little more residual resolution loss in areas of fine detail during camera pans than we’d typically expect from a Samsung TV, but overall it’s still a good effort. With TVs getting slimmer and built-in speakers getting smaller, choosing the right sound system is more important than ever. Soundbars enhance your TV's sound quality and add that extra audio punch to all your movies, games and TV programmes. More affordable and easier to set up than a full size speaker system, they don't compromise on quality either. And if you’re looking to elevate your viewing experience with cable management, then why not take a look at our wall mounts and TV stands.

Power supply and consumption Information about the power supply and consumption, energy efficiency class, etc. 110V Information about the number of pixels on the horizontal and vertical side of the screen. A higher resolution allows the display of a more detailed and of higher quality image. It almost goes without saying that there’s little by way of low-frequency presence here, but even if you decide to find out what those 20 watts are capable of the AU7100 remains a composed listen.Samsung has done the sensible thing with the design of the AU7100: there’s really not much of it. The company’s claim that this is a ‘bezel-less’ doesn’t take long to disprove, but the bezels are agreeably slim and nicely finished. If you want to connect your TV to a blu-ray player, games console, soundbar or soundbase then you'll need a HDMI cable. This 50” screen has four times the number of pixels than 1080p Full HD TVs, delivering stunning realism, natural motion and incredible detail.

The maximum number of colors, which the display is able to reproduce, depends on the type of the panel in use and color enhancing technologies like FRC. Dimensions, weight and color Information about the dimensions and the weight of the specific model with and without stand as well as the colors, in which it is offered to the market. Width Approximate height of the display. If the manufacturer does not provide such information, the height is calculated from the diagonal and the aspect ratio. The ratio between the horizontal and the vertical side of the display. Some of the standard and widely used aspect ratios are 4:3, 5:4, 16:9 and 16:10. Information about whether the stand can be dismounted. Usually, this is required for wall mounting.A Smart TV is a platform that can run 3rd party Apps. 3rd party content providers may remove Apps from the Smart TV platform or stop supporting them at any time, and we cannot guarantee an App’s availability. When new Smart TV products are launched, there may also be a delay before certain Apps become available. Availability of Apps is not included within the terms of the manufacturer’s warranty, or the John Lewis 2-year Guarantee for audio visual products, or the 5-year Guarantee for TVs. This TV works with compatible smart home devices and appliances from Bixby, Alexa, Google Assistant and connects through Smart Things (compatible phone and app required. Exact functionality may change at any time and be withdrawn from the product without notice). Picture noise is kept under control, though, and edges are still confidently described. Motion, too, will remain smooth and convincing - just as soon as you’ve dived into the set-up menus and finessed the ‘Judder Reduction’ and ‘LED Clear Motion’ settings.
