The "Barfarama" tag is literal...way too much vomiting. It reminded me of Knives Out where the vomiting is such a presence it should have been listed under Cast of Characters. I kind of want to chop away the final third of this and pretend it never happened as it really spoiled what had been a decent read until that point. Ah well.(/spoiler)
Taming Mr. Walker was a fun read. Our protagonist, Charlie, works in IT and has a massive chip on her shoulder about her career prospects. Compounding this is her brother, Tristan, and his best friend, Danny—ultra-successful businessmen™. Furthermore, Charlie is attracted to Danny and has been rejected by him in the past. Danny is washboard-abs fit, ludicrously good-looking, super-successful and eye-wateringly wealthy—basically every male love interest in these types of books ever. If it ain't broken, don't fix it and all that, but it wouldn't hurt to mix things up a little either, which, unfortunately, this book doesn't. Taming Mr. Walker is a standalone, full-length sizzling office enemies-to-lovers romance starring a brooding CEO and a feisty, sarcastic younger heroine. During the day: If you have a flexible schedule, you may find it helpful to take breaks during the day to read a book. It suffered from the typical romance issue of not communicating that ends up causing a lot of misunderstanding. That's not the real issue, it's that despite some nice 3-4 star banter and a fresh voice from a fairly likable heroine it gets derailed by the H and h. H is strong, silent type and very, very good at distancing himself except when he want to have sex so little voice from him at all. They reminded me of Sandy and Danny (Grease reference) and their massive Failure to Communicate or get it wrong.

The best time to read a book depends on your personal schedule and preferences.
