On The Struggle of Life Stillness Die Before Your Death Save me My Heart is an Open Book The Stab Niche Keep Walking Penderitaan dan kesulitan itu memiliki banyak tujuan di dalam hidup. Penderitaan dapat berfungsi sebagai petunjuk sekaligus obat atas hubungan kita dengan sang Pencipta yang rusak. (hlm. 153)

She is the first Muslim woman to become an instructor at AlMaghrib Institute. [6] Previously, she had been a writing instructor at Cardinal Stritch University. [5] She is internationally known for her motivational lectures. [5] Works [ edit ] Yasmin aims to shift and refocus the reader’s vision of life through her writing and I can wholeheartedly say that Reclaim Your Heart gave me a whole new perspective on the purpose of life. I don’t believe that anyone who reads this book could not benefit from its wisdom.” Reclaim Your Heart is not just a self-help book. It is a manual about the journey of the heart in and out of the ocean of this life. It is a book about how to keep your heart from sinking to the depths of that ocean, and what to do when it does. It is a book about redemption, about hope, about renewal. Every heart can heal, and each moment is created to bring us closer to that transformative return. Reclaim Your Heart is about finding that moment when everything stops and suddenly looks different. It is about finding your own awakening. And then returning to the better, truer, and freer version of yourself. Many of us live our lives, entrapped by the same repeated patterns of heartbreak and disappointment. Many of us have no idea why this happens. Reclaim Your Heart is about freeing the heart from this slavery. It is about the journey in an out of life’s most deceptive traps. This book was written to awaken the heart and provide a new perspective on love, loss, happiness, and pain. Providing a manual of sorts, Reclaim Your Heart will teach readers how to live in this life without allowing life to own you. It is a manual of how to protect your most prized possession: the heart. Reclaim Your Heart is about finding that moment when everything stops and suddenly looks different. It is about finding your own awakening. And then returning to the better, truer, and freer version of yourself.without praying or going daily to the Masjid or going to my daily halaqas. Yasmin, I cannot thank you enough for posting this article and really getting deep into everyone’s hearts. I listened to what you said; I took the keys from the dunya and gave them to the Creator. You are such an inspiring woman and I look up to you:) Thank you so so much. —Humaira May Allah (swt) reward you with Firdous (the highest heaven). Ameen. I cannot even express what a blessing you are sister Yasmin. Your coming into my life through your writing strengthens my emaan (faith) day by day alhamdulillah (all praise is due to God) and inspires so many of my friends and loved ones with whom I often share your work with! Allah swt has truly answered your dua if you prayed to be used as a tool to guide the ummah!:) —Hajera M. Allah (swt) says: “The present world is only an illusory pleasure: you are sure to be tested through your possessions and persons; you are sure to hear much that is hurtful from those who were given the Scripture before you and from those who associate others with God. If you are steadfast (have sabr) and mindful of God (have taqwa), that is the best course.” [Quran, 3:185-186]. The first topic of this book is attachment. which is started with the writer’s dream. In her dream, a little girl asked her a question “Why do people leave each other?” She gives a satisfying answer. In the topic of relationship, she explains the relationship of the people with the Creator and His mercy on the people. She tells us about the status of women in this society and their importance according to Islam. Being the ummah of our beloved prophet (PBUH) we must have firm faith in Allah and focus upon our religion as Allah says in the Quran, “Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of people until they first change what is in themselves.”

In the second topic, she explains the concept of love in the material world and also with our God. She explains how hardship comes with ease. Allah is enough for us to solve our problems and we should take help from Him. She also gives examples of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and His companions. In this topic, she explains what we want and what Allah does for us. Allah always does good for us. She gives the reference to the Quranic verse in which Allah (SWT) says, “It may happen that you hate a thing which is good for you, and it may happen that you love a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows, you know not.” because it goes against our nature. We, as humans, are made to seek, love, and strive for what is perfect and what is permanent. We are made to seek what’s eternal. We seek this because we were not made for this life. Our first and true home was Paradise: a land that is both perfect and eternal. So the yearning for that type of life is a part of our being. The problem is that we try to find that here. And so we create ageless creams and cosmetic surgery in a desperate attempt to hold on—in an attempt to mold this world into what it is not, and will never be. And that’s why if we live in dunya with our hearts, it breaks us. That’s why this dunya hurts. It is because the definition of dunya, as something temporary and imperfect, goes against everything we are made to yearn for. Allah put a yearning in us that can only be fulfilled by what is eternal and perfect. By trying to find fulfillment in what is fleeting, we are running after a hologram…a mirage. We are digging into concrete with our bare hands. Seeking to turn, what is by its very nature temporary into something eternal is like trying to extract from fire, water. You just get burned. Only when we stop putting our hopes in dunya, only when we stop trying to make the dunya into what it is not—and was never meant to be (jannah)—will this life finally stop breaking our hearts. We must also realize that nothing happens without a purpose. Nothing. Not even broken hearts. Not even pain. had I not learned and reflected on your writings, I don′t think I would be who I am today, handling the loss of one of my favorite people in the world. I would like to say it was one specific piece of writing that inspired me, but it wasn′t; it was your entire collection. I make dua Allah rewards you immensely, and continuously inspires you and allows you to keep doing what you′re doing. May Allah bless and protect your loved ones. Please make dua for my father. —Aala I would like to extend my gratitude to you, for changing my life completely, Allah bless you dear. I was going through terrible phase of my life, darkness, depression, hollowness and negativity was all over me. Then I stumbled upon your articles. Enlightened I am now! Alhamadulillah. Thank you and keep writing as Allah ″the Great″ has blessed you with this quality. May Allah accept all duaa′s (supplications) I′m making for you ….actually this the only one thing I can say, because no words are enough! —Maryam I. Your words hit me so hard I had to slow down whilst reading and breathe. I always took pride in not being superficial, in not being materialistic all the while depending on people I loved to make me happy. And when Similarly, when something happens that you dislike, or that hurts you, be careful not to get lost in the illusion created by pain. Look through it. Find the message in the bottle. Find the purpose. And let it lead you to glimpse just a little more of Him. If it’s a slip or even a fall in your deen (religion), don’t let shaytan (satan) deceive you. Let the slip make you witness His mercy in a more experiential and deep way. And then seek that mercy to save you from your sins and your own transgression against yourself. If it’s an unsolvable problem, don’t despair. Witness a glimpse of Al-Fataah, the One who opens for His slaves any closed matter. And if it is a storm, don’t let yourself drown. Let it bring you to witness how only He can save His servant from a storm, when there is no one else around. And remember that after all of creation is destroyed and not a single being exists but Him, God will ask: - “To whom is the dominion today?” (Qur’an, 40:16) Allah says:I went straight & brought her newly published book once I found it in Diwan ( a book store in Egypt) , otherwise I would have asked a friend living abroad to get it with him. It sounds comical, but the truth is, we put the needs of our body above the needs of our soul. We feed our bodies, because if we didn’t, we’d die. But so many of us starve our souls, forgetting that if we are not praying our soul is dead. And ironically, the body that we tend to is only temporary, while the soul that we neglect is eternal.” This book is about the emotional and psychological side of eeman/iman. It doesn't just talk about facts and what you should or shouldn't do, no... it talks about the heart. And Yasmin Mogahed tells complicated things in such a simple way. It cleares up your mind. I felt a little lost sometimes, my head was so full, my heart filled with unrest.. there were times I didn't know WHAT to think. But now.. every time I feel scared or sad or lonely, I take this book and read.
