You can test this for yourself, if you’re by a window with bright sunlight beaming through. Put the Poco X4 Pro under the beam and you’ll see the OLED panel’s color and contrast shift to maximize visibility. It works well, and is the kind of feature we’d only have associated with true top-end phones just a couple of years ago. As for the screen – it's stellar for the price, with a zingy AMOLED panel sporting a smooth 120Hz refresh rate at the heart of the experience. You can opt for a bolder version of the phone, in blue and bright yellow. We haven’t seen the latter in person, but it looks great in renders.
Let’s hope it’s the latter, since it means the Poco X4 Pro may become more consistent with future software updates. As for gaming and processor-intensive tasks, image editing in Lightroom wasn't too painful, even when exporting large 108MP photos. Gaming is a bit more of a grind, especially when playing top-tier titles like Genshin Impact – minimum graphics settings only. The overall effect is to make your pictures look less natural – and in other scenes this HDR mode is too much, so leaving it on 24/7 isn’t the solution. Finally, the SIM tray has two slots. The second can be used for either a second SIM or a microSD card. Our review phone has 128GB of storage, but there’s also a 256GB version of the Poco X4 Pro. Display As far as style's concerned, it's a choice between a circular camera module and a rectangular one. We like the Poco X4 Pro 5G's design but would've preferred a livelier color, like the Poco Yellow, or at least the Laser Blue. Users should not have high expectations of the Poco X4 Pro's selfie camera, but the photo quality is solid. In difficult lighting conditions, the 16-megapixel shots are often overexposed, especially in portrait mode, and the sky looks burned out. Moreover, the soft focus is quite pronounced.

With average use, the 5,000 mAh battery lasts longer around a day and a half. Potentially, the battery lasts even longer when the display is switched to the 60Hz mode. And finally, there is 67W wired charging that fills up the battery for more than 50% in 15 minutes. X4 Pro 5G: Price UK The most notable design choice the X4 Pro 5G showcases is its big, bold, in-your-face camera bump. Purely aesthetic, the camera mix on this phone is identical to that of the Redmi Note 11 Pro, whose camera bump is much subtler.

Aside from the display, it's the camera that's gotten the biggest upgrade in the Poco X4 Pro 5G. Up from the 48MP of the X3 Pro, the X4 Pro 5G has a 108MP 1/1.52-inch main sensor that promises much better low light performance, for one. We'll test that in detail in our full review.
