It shows true cruelty. Literally pure evil. I couldn't read it in one day. The book contains photographs.

He pleaded guilty to manslaughter and was sentenced to two days' detention. Some felt so sorry for us they took us into their homes and fed us before sending us on our way with the odd copper or two. So I set off with this kind lady, drooling at the thought of some bread and jam.The murders were the result of what Malcolm MacCulloch, professor of forensic psychiatry at Cardiff University, described as a "concatenation of circumstances". [2] The trial judge, Justice Fenton Atkinson, described Brady and Hindley in his closing remarks as "two sadistic killers of the utmost depravity". [3] Their crimes were the subject of extensive worldwide media coverage.

Both Brady and Hindley entered pleas of not guilty; [118] Brady testified for over eight hours, Hindley for six. [119] Brady admitted to striking Evans with the axe, but claimed that someone else had killed Evans, pointing to the pathologist's statement that his death had been "accelerated by strangulation"; Brady's "calm, undisguised arrogance did not endear him to the jury [and] neither did his pedantry", wrote Duncan Staff. [120] Hindley denied any knowledge that the photographs of Saddleworth Moor found by police had been taken near the graves of their victims. [121] However you feel regarding Brady and Hindley, this is a further fascinating insight into their characters and also on the continuing search for Keith Bennett.

I was blown away by the information in this book. The pictures included throughout were also extremely interesting and I was again surprised to see how much Brady and Hindley had changed in their appearance during their long imprisonment.
