In response to Marcus's End Child Food Poverty campaign, the British Government committed GBP400 million to support vulnerable children across the UK, supporting 1.7 million children for the next 12 months. A petition set up by Rashford, calling for the government to offer free school meals in England during school holidays, reached one million signatures in October. A Labour motion on free school meals over holidays in England was debated in the House of Commons but the motion was voted down. In your book You Are a Champion , there’s a chapter called Never Stop Learning. Can you tell us three things, big or small, that you have learn ed this year? MARTA: That's right. And it's a nice way because when you're using a pen like s- like this one you can't rub it off. So you just draw the line in there. But that's ok, Anthony, I believe in you. A new title in the Marcus Rashford Book Club will launch in the autumn as part of an arrangement that will see two books a year getting into the hands of children who need them most. LAURA: I'm not in trouble. I believe in you, Anthony. Ok, so question one, how many seagulls are there in the world? MARTA: Right, can I actually say, I am Polish and all my books were actually very, very Polish. So I don't know Roald Dahl or anything like that. Etsittiin vain jotain ihmepalloa koulun aidan takaa, jonne kukaan ei muka mene kouluajan jälkeenkään. Kaverikiemuroissa ei ollut oikein pontta ja hirveä hirviökin osoittautui pelkäksi antikliimaksiksi. Kirja oli myös aivan liian paksu niille lukijoille, joille se mahdollisesti oli suunnattu.

LAURA: Oh, it's our pleasure to have you. Now, could you tell us a bit about your latest book, "Where Seagulls Dare"? In October of 2020, Marcus was appointed an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours. He has committed himself to combating child poverty in the UK and his book, called “You Are a Champion”, which was written with Carl Anka, is an inspiring guide for kids about reaching their full potential. ANTHONY HOROWITZ: Well, thank you for the question, UnicornStar8. I suppose my favourite book has got to be Stormbreaker. The first of the Alex Rider books. Those books changed my life. They've sold all over the world. They've got lots of young people into books and into reading. So Stormbreaker was the beginning of a huge adventure for me. I've got nice hair. Why thank you.
