A. Yes, it is normal to see some colour transfer when applying our Leather Protection Cream after applying the Balm. You should wait 24 hours before applying the Protection Cream to limit this. It is also recommended to apply the Protection Cream lightly; this again will limit the colour transfer. Make sure there is no grit, dust, or dirt which may scratch the leather. I dry dust first, then sponge over with a damp rag and dry off with a soft cloth. If your shoes are saturated the first thing to do, before drying them out, is to make sure they’re clean. Depending on the type of shoe, apply a material-specific shampoo for leather, suede or sneakers to avoid any dirt drying into the shoe. A single treatment with this cleaner will suffice to provide efficient protection for 6 months or even longer.
