About this deal

Sprays can be easier to use and help you coat larger areas of the leather, but you’ll want to avoid accidentally spraying other items or spraying too much cleaner. Liquid cleaners are also easy to apply but can get messy and typically take a little more time to work into the leather. Sardone’s team recommends pouring liquid cleaner onto a microfiber cloth to help control how much you use—you don’t want to saturate the leather with too much cleaner.

Apply the leather cleaner using a soft bristle brush that helps the liquid form a foam on the surface. Allow a few minutes for the leather to fully absorb the cleaning agents before wiping off the foam with a clean microfibre cloth. This step can be repeated for stubborn stains then allowed to dry.It conditions the leather and contains surface proofing agents to provide protection against spills and stains. Your leather goods will also be protected from UV rays from the sun, meaning the colours won't fade any time soon.

Step two is to apply a waterproofing spray. Velakoulis advises doing at least three coats for leather (suede requires more). Repeat this process after six months of wear. The vast majority of leather furniture falls into this category. The tanned hides are buffed and sanded to remove flaws (branding marks, scars, insect bites etc.), and a pigment is added to the surface before the grain is stamped on artificially. It is the toughest and most durable leather type and is easy to maintain. Antique Leather Similarly, vegan leather is difficult to repair, she says: “It will deteriorate and, if anything happens to it, we can’t really repair it.” Ideally formulated to revive tired and faded leathers, our leather care balm ensures that your treasured items are conditioned and protected. There are a variety of leather cleaners, including spray, liquid, balm, and wipes. Debbie Sardone, the owner of Speedcleaning.com, says, “The best choice depends on where and how you want to use the cleaner.” If your shoes are leather, Powell says you can use a soft lint-free cloth and mild, diluted soapy water. Leather conditioners come in different types varying from liquid to gel, balm, paste, and more. Most leather conditioner types can be safely used on the leather of all kinds and colours. However, some of the products can change the original leather colour or finish, which normally stated in the product info, and as such, are meant for some specific applications only. The conditioners can be used on pretty much all of your leather belongings: whether you want to take care of car seats or seek to prolong the service life of some clothing pieces, you will be able to find a product for it. The conditioner usually provides pretty lasting protection, so you won’t need to reply it pretty often. These cushions have been restored with the Dark Brown Re-Colouring Balm and show the difference with one coat (middle cushion), two coats (right cushion) and the original (left cushion)

The solution contains wax emollients and pigments that penetrate deep into the grain to restore the colour and keep the leather supple. The Red Wing leather paste comes in a metal jar, in a capacity of 85 grammes. This isn't a lot, of course, but if you don't have a lot of leather shoes that need regular treatment, this amount will suffice for a while. Plus, given its price, there's always an option to buy a few more straight away. Powell has similar advice. She says to regularly apply a leather care balm with a soft, lint-free cloth and let it penetrate the leather for 10 to 15 minutes before buffing it off with a soft brush. Do note, though, that the cream will create a matte finish. If you prefer your furniture to be shiny and glossy, it may not be the best fit for you. A. Yes, we recommend applying our Leather Protection Cream after using the Balm. We recommend waiting 24 hours before applying the Leather Protection Cream.Eugene Cheng says use a stain remover and clean off dirt with a small brush as soon as you notice it on sneakers – and avoid machine washing them. Photograph: Sneaker laundry The Re-Colouring Balm will work on non-absorbent leathers if the surface of the leather has been scuffed or scratched; showing a lighter colour beneath. Applying the Re-Colouring Balm will blend the damage in but will not repair it. For this, we recommend our Complete Leather Repair Kit. Clean the leather first before applying the Balm. For best results, use our Leather Cleaner - This is because it deep cleans the leather to remove all dirt, but also opens up the pores of the leather so the Leather Balm will take to the leather in a better fashion. Applying the Leather Balm Present on the market for over 50 years, the Leather Honey leather conditioner still takes the lead and remains one of the best products for leather maintenance so far. That's for a good reason. Once perfect formula successfully withstood the test of time and still stays strong against many modern products. With all the modern eco trends, genuine leather is still a widely popular luxurious material widely used in furniture, clothing, and accessory making as well as in the automotive industry. Naturally, this material is pretty robust, yet it is still prone to wear and tear and might get easily damaged without proper maintenance. Just as you use conditioners or serums for your skin to keep it soft, stretchy and resistant to harmful environmental factors, you need to use leather conditioners to protect the leather items from all sorts of external impact.

A. Yes, it is normal to see some colour transfer when applying our Leather Protection Cream after applying the Balm. You should wait 24 hours before applying the Protection Cream to limit this. It is also recommended to apply the Protection Cream lightly; this again will limit the colour transfer. Make sure there is no grit, dust, or dirt which may scratch the leather. I dry dust first, then sponge over with a damp rag and dry off with a soft cloth. If your shoes are saturated the first thing to do, before drying them out, is to make sure they’re clean. Depending on the type of shoe, apply a material-specific shampoo for leather, suede or sneakers to avoid any dirt drying into the shoe. A single treatment with this cleaner will suffice to provide efficient protection for 6 months or even longer. The finish it creates on the leather doesn’t wear off even if you touch the treated surface on a daily basis. Besides, the product will work to protect your belongings from water, snow and rain. Apply the balm, take the sponge, and lightly dip it into the Balsam. Apply generously using circular movements and cover all areas of the shoe or boot. However, whilst you may see colour transfer onto the cloth, the leather will still look fully restored. The Protection Cream will only be removing excess Leather Balm on the leather's surface. The main purpose of the Balm is to restore the colour though so, if you are looking to condition your leather, we recommend using our Leather Protection Cream, as this is one of its main purposes. It’s easy to create a DIY leather cleaner with a 50/50 solution of water and white vinegar. Sardone recommends using this mixture with a microfiber cloth, “rubbing the leather in a circular motion to lift the dirt out of the natural fibers.” To eliminate spots and dirt from leather, Sardone offers the following recipe:
