About this deal

They sourced ten weights from leading brands and put them through some spicy sessions. They tried out a variety of moves, from KB swings and goblet squats to bicep curls and Turkish get-ups, before awarding each model a score for its design, ease of use and overall performance. Another key advantage of the Bowflex model is that there is excellent customer support and an app with a range of exercises that will lead you through your workout is available. Any length of exercise is better than not doing any exercise at all, so from this perspective, a 20-minute kettlebell workout is plenty long enough. If you're short on time, you can always try circuit and/or metcon workouts. The best kettlebell workout we've seen so far can be done in 10 minutes, and even harder workouts, the ones you're likely to perform if you tried the 10,000 swings kettlebell challenge, won't last longer than 30 minutes. As in the case with most one-size-fits-all solutions, the Bowflex SelectTech 840 Kettlebell is trying to appeal to all whilst failing to please the individuals; it is definitely more space-saving than having six different kettlebells laying around in your one-bed flat, but it is also rather bulky, making it a bit less convenient to work out with doing one-handed moves. Standing with your feet shoulder width apart, hold a kettlebell by its handle in front of your chest. Make sure your elbows are pointing down towards your knees.

What we loved about this model was the shape and size felt very much like a standard kettlebell meaning that there was no process of getting used to a different shape to go through. It also has a great range of weights from 4kg to 18kg and is easy to store. If you were to buy all of these weights individually then you would probably be paying around twice the price and would have a storage issue.

Nothing that can't be amended with a little bit of filing or patching up, though! And for the price, these imperfections are not only acceptable but also somewhat expected. Otherwise, you would keep on thinking, where is the catch? There is none: these are just decent kettlebells for a decent price. End of story. If you predominantly work out at the gym then the chances are you won’t need kettlebells at home, but for those that prefer a home-based workout then investing in an adjustable kettlebell is perhaps one of the best things you can do. Not strictly an adjustable kettlebell but a product so innovative that we simply had to include it on our list. The Kettle Gryp is a grip designed to turn any dumbbell in to a kettle bell. If you do go down the route of using the Kettle Gryp then you either need to already own at least one dumbbell or you need to buy some dumbbells (which kind of defeats the purpose). However, for anyone who already owns some dumbbells and wants to add kettlebells to their workout regime then there is no cheaper way to go about it than with this excellent product. Hand weight sets include various sizes and weights. A set of dumbbell hand weights, for example, might include a 2kg, a 5kg, and a 10kg dumbbell. What are the benefits of hand weights?

The Apex is similar to the Gorilla in build quality and features and was another of our favourites that had to make the list. The Apex includes 4 removable weight discs all of which are cast iron coated. The kettlebell itself is fairly heavy with just over 9kg of weight on it and as such anyone looking for a lighter weight in their kettlebell might be better served to choose one of the other options listed. The max weight here is 18kg although you can buy additional 5kg plates if you want to take the weight up as high as 29kg – although that is probably a little excessive for most. This model is the easiest to switch weights and can be done with just the turn of a dial. With 6 weights in total and a range from 3.6kg to 18kg the Bowflex 840 is perhaps the most innovative and versatile. It has the general look of a kettlebell and is extremely well made. The Bowflex 840 is the most expensive adjustable kettlebell on our list but is without a doubt the best option on the market. When it comes to ease of use, build quality and comfort – the Bowflex 840 simply cannot be beaten. Although it is twice as expensive as most models we reviewed, it is likely to be a lifetime investment due to its long lasting build qualities. The Women's Health Lab tested a variety of market-leading adjustable kettlebells to find our ultimate home workout heroes. Weighing in at 0.5kg, the Kettle Gryp can hold weights up to 25kg – more than any of the true adjustable kettlebells available today. Not only that, but thanks to its light weight it is also highly portable so it can easily be taken with you if you are staying at a hotel and don’t want to miss out on your kettle workout. Both traditional kettlebells and adjustable kettlebells have their strengths. Ultimately, it depends on your goals, where you’re working out, the types of moves you plan on using them for, and your budget. The Pros Of Adjustable Kettlebells Progression is simple

You may have noticed that a number of dumbbell manufacturers have started offering selectable systems that negate the need to fill your house with a spread of weights. Well, JaxJox has taken this idea one step further with its electronically-adjustable kettlebell system, which offers a spread of 5 kg-19 kg in a single, albeit slightly bulky, unit. The handle is very comfortable to grip and the piece is generally well made with solid cast iron weight plates making up the main body of the kettlebell. Those venturing out into the world of kettlebells for the first time should go easy on the weight, as the gruelling sessions will prove impossible if you can't lift the bloody thing above your head. That said, opting for a puny 2kg kettlebell could mean you're not facing enough resistance to thoroughly challenge the muscle. If you can, head to a gym or local fitness store and try out a few weights until one feels right.

If money is no object then the Bowflex 840 is the best you can buy right now, but if you need to be a little more thrifty we’d suggest the Klar or ISOGYM models.Looking to get in a killer workout from the comfort of your own home? It’s time to add the humble kettlebell to your home gym arsenal. Kettlebells come in various different sizes and weights – ranging from 4 kg to 48 kg (or more). And they can be used for a whole range of compound moves – squats, lunges, push-ups and glute bridges, to name a few – kettlebell exercises can be added to any workout to really spice things up, and will help you build the all-important core strength so essential for daily life. Consider your home workout elevated. There are several reasons why you might want to add a couple of kettlebells to your at-home workout stash. Not only are they incredibly versatile (they can be used for a whole host of different exercises that target multiple muscle groups) – and great for helping to improve strength, endurance and explosive power – but kettlebells are also super convenient to store away out of sight thanks to their compact size.
