About this deal

Ryan Wesley’s biggest regret is coaxing his very straight friend into a bet that pushed the boundaries of their relationship. Now, with their college teams set to face off at the national championship, he’ll finally get a chance to apologize. But all it takes is one look at his longtime crush, and the ache is stronger than ever. If any two characters could start and finish each other's sentences without being cheesy, then Jaime and Wes might very well be one of the examples that come to mind.

I would’ve gotten trashed if she hadn’t shown up. So…uh, yeah, I guess it was cool of her to come get me before I got too wasted.” I enjoyed all kind all m/m romances, but my favorite is GFY m/m novels when one of the characters (or both of them) is (are) struggling to accept the 'new' reality, that he is /they are gay or like in this case bi. While Jamie didn’t struggle too much with everything like I expected, I think his self-discovery felt natural. I really liked how he handled everything he figured out about himself. There’s no stupid, unnecessary drama, (even if the two guys have to face some obstacles) which I enjoyed.

It’s here that I have to shout my undying love for these two. I can’t get enough of them. Again, Jamie’s family proves to be amazing, hilarious and so supportive of them both. And Blake stole the show. He made me laugh out loud! I don’t want this series to end! I need more of these characters. So, I am going to go right on to Good Boy, which is Blake and Jess’s story, but also promises lots of Jamie and Ryan. This series is amazing and I am now a certified fan of both of these authors! Jamie and Wes are having a blast living and working in Toronto. Until a scout for another team swoops in to make one of them an offer that might complicate the life they’ve built together.

Ok, those of you who are masterful in the art of reading between the lines (because subtlety is my specialty, obvs) have probably realized by now that Wes wasn't exactly my favorite. Yet I couldn’t list the positives of this book and not comment on this man's absurdly entertaining thoughts. I fell hard for both Wes and Jamie in Him and anxiously awaited this release. I'll start off be saying this one is completely different from the first book. And you know what? That’s one of the things I really liked about this. I totally thought that it should be. Elle writes romantic suspense and erotic contemporary romance for various publishers. She loves strong heroines and sexy alpha heroes, and just enough heat and danger to keep things interesting! Dude, you should have seen him when we were walking home,” a junior named Donovan pipes up. “Stripped down to his tighty whities and trying to dry-hump that statue in front of the south library.”

Customer reviews

The sex scenes were sensuous and HOT! I loved the trust they gave over to each other sexually as their relationship progressed. For me personally, the fact that Jaime could forgive something like that so easily already transformed him into a better person than I could ever be —Although I did believe Wes should've done at least a little groveling, but I digress. I push aside one set of troubling thoughts and replace them with another. “Have you ever been fired by a friend?” I hear myself ask. Wes was also an excellent character, how he loved Jamie but was willing to let him go because he thought he was corrupting him.

As a frozen image of a college arena fills the huge screen, one of our left wings wrinkles his forehead. “Why are we starting with Rainier? We’re playing North Dakota in the first round.”

Publication Order of The Company Books

To be honest I was worried with the set-up because Jamie, for all intents and purposes, is straight. But Sarina and Elle did a wonderful job handling that aspect. Jamie self-discovery felt natural. It didn't feel contrived. Both Jamie and Wes have to face obstacles, but when it comes to their feelings for each other, it's clear to me as a reader that they belong together. Their relationship felt raw and sincere, and so, so hot. The question now isn’t whether I want to fool around with this man. The question is how I’m ever going to give it up.” I did love the introduction of a possible love story between Jamie’s sister and Wes’s teammate. Is that going to happen? Pretty please? Don’t care how, I want it now!! Now, even though Jamie has never been with another man, I would not classify this book as a GFY. Jamie himself states very clearly that it's not just Wes, who can get him turned on. This is more a case of coming to except that you are bi-sexual....and falling in love with your best friend ;)

Y'all cannot convince Wes was not the kid laughing whenever the teacher in health class said "penis". It is a fact I simply refuse to be challenged on. Sarina Bowen isn’t exactly a household name today. However, her star is bound to shine even brighter as the years go by, especially when you account for the fact that she has won a RITA Award; and those are not so easy to come by.And it was comments like the ones below which I most appreciated too, giving a nuanced glimpse into the harsh reality of an athlete's life that defied the glamorized image most of us perhaps have: Una cosa que no me ha gustado tanto respecto a la primera parte es que no ha habido tantas escenas sexuales. Es decir, quizá sí las haya habido, pero no con el mismo morbo que en la primera novela. Namely Jaime’s family and ex-girlfriend Holly. I was surprised by how accepting and understanding they were, and I have to applaud both authors for not taking the easy way out and utilizing them as plot devices for drama, instead portraying a healthy and heartwarming dynamic. And bottom line, I'm pretty sure I will give the sequel a try down the line. If only because I adored Jaime as an MC and look forward to the relationship actually developing on equal terms and with what I hope is a shared sense of trust.
