About this deal

I could cope somewhat if the "core set" had a spine style and the "expanded set" had the same spine style. Barbaric Gug Swarm wrote: Is there an updated image for the special cover to see what the spine and cover design will be like? Good question. I’m on the case. The Sterling Dynamo is an archetype that centers around your sterling dynamo prosthesis. Out of the gate, this allows your sterling dynamo to function as a melee weapon as well as the potential to make it more modular in the future. You can even take the Modular Dynamo feat multiple times to be ready for every situation and adapt accordingly. The damage output seems kinda low, especially for the non-Weapon inventors. The Construct doesn't seem super deadly as levels continue on. The armor has a few nice things like energy resist, but it sounds like in combat the most good you're going to be is 'the guy who doesn't die'. Barbarians can do that while also dishing out some pretty serious damage, so I'm not really sure what an Armor Inventor does. Maybe this will make more sense to me when I see it all put together in action.

The reason why I like this section so much is that it serves as a rapid-fire hitting ground for lore. Ustalav is already the de facto horror setting in Golarion, and this amps everything up to 11. How does lycanthropy fit into the greater story of Golarion tech? Can Doctor Ostrea truly extract nightmares or implant dreams into people? Are the terrors of the Dark Tapestry present in Zefirendi’s lace? This is an incredibly creative section that warrants your attention. Guns & Gears: Parting Thoughts The Gadgets section of the Gears equipment feels like a bit of a whiff, though—they seem neat, certainly, but I’ve never been convinced that the Pathfinder adventurer economy really has room for disposable or one-use items.

Guns Equipment is largely devoted to (you guessed it) firearms, and the quite lengthy section before the personal firearms where the devs try to cut off at the pass any arguments about making guns more automatic or modern. IT’S FOR GAME BALANCE, STEVE. That said, they do kinda shoot themselves in the foot by a) mentioning that they’ve already included WW1-era weapons in various APs and b) describing the mechanics of a hypothetical modern longarm.

With the release of Guns & Gears, Pathfinder Second Edition officially has 20 playable classes! It’s kind of wild to think about that, considering that PF2 has been around for just over two years, and the amount of character options has breezed past D&D 5E, which has 14 classes if you include the Critical Role Blood Hunter class. That’s amazing for Paizo and Pathfinder players! the Fighter, but you also need it less than they do. Subclasses – Gunslinger’s Way Way of the Drifter GaG Disassemble & Reassemble Firearm – This is based on time, some firearms will cost more some will cost less, this is the average cost. This also adds Injection weapons which let you inject a target you strike with an Injury poison pre-loaded into the weapon. It takes 3 interactions to load a new poison, so I'm not sure what the benefit is supposed to be when it's so action-expensive to reload and use. Some of the art looks like it could slide right into any Starfinder sourcebook. You have integrated Firearms in a shiny, silvery automaton next to Rare Breath Blasters made from beasts. The book is filled with really fun and zany firearms, as well as plenty of archetypes to keep your characters on the cutting edge of technology. Guns & Gears: The Best PartsIf you are searching for the best CQB platform out there, the CYMAPlatinum SLR Airsoft Works AKS-74U AEG; Tracer HOP-up is definitely worth considering. Absolutely brimming with upgraded parts including a MOSFET, 13:1 CNCsteel gears, CNC aluminium piston and cylinder head,a high torque Neodymium magnet motor and a 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel, this lil AK shoots like a laser and its built-in tracer HOP-up gives it an instinct aiming and psychological warfare advantage when exchanging fire at kissing distance. Trigger Job – Smooth & lighten. Does not include price of spring kits. This price is for most firearms some will cost more. What I really like about the Sterling Dynamo is that it gives more options for melee characters, and it’s all about utility which is my bread and butter as a player. This also goes hand-in-hand with Lost Omens: The Grand Bazaar, which introduced and discussed prosthetics at length. I appreciate the fact that Golarion is a world for everyone. Ustalav: Spark and Shadow (Pg 225)

Take advantage of your Second Amendment right by purchasing guns for sale at Guns N Gear in Idaho Falls, ID. At Guns N Gear, we don’t just sell guns and firearms, we are also committed to providing people like you with the safest shooting experience possible. We put an emphasis on education and safety as we promote shooting sports. Archetypes for Guns characters start out with, in my fevered opinion, the best of the lot: the Artillerist. Just seeing a whole archetype dedicated to the concept of “any problem can be solved with the proper application of heavy artillery” sends me into a tizzy—and honestly makes this whole book worthwhile for me. I could cope somewhat if the "core set" had a spine style and the "expanded set" had the same spine style. I concur with you on this one. I have all of those editions, and Secrets of Magic, despite looking fantastic, looks out of place. I like that the non 6 core stand out and hope this trend continues. Rebarrel Revolver – Remove old barrel & replace with a new barrel. Does not include the cost of new barrel Double-Barreled Pistol CRB: Less damage than a typical pistol, but having two barrels means that when

Now, the gunsligner I did not guess. I mentioned it, but that wasn't my real guess, as I assumed it would either be part of the Inventor class or renamed to something else, which I'm still hoping (however faintly) that might happen. The third mini-book of the collection is “The Rotating Gear”. This is the lore section of the book – part history lesson, part campaign setting, part idea incubator for roll-your-own GMs. Now, if you’re just a group that plays published adventure paths, you may miss most of this or get a paragraph or two of it in handout form and move on. On the other hand, if you’re building your own campaigns, or if you’re just really into the lore of the Pathfinder world, this section is where the worldbuilding happens. If you need a place to set your campaign where technology flourishes, or an NPC who would have a tech connection, this is the section of the book you’re going to lean most heavily on.

All aboard the Clunkerjunker everybody! Guns and gears have arrived in Golarion! The adventures are only just beginning.

I’m still trying to decide how I feel about this, though. You can make a case either way. On one hand, it keeps all the content for a particular class together. If you’re building an Inventor, you don’t have to go sifting through a bunch of guns content and vice versa. On the other hand, it’s a little weird to have to go looking for the gunslinger class info out in the middle of the book, rather than up front where you’d usually expect it to be. I suppose it’s something I’ll get used to, but it’s a little weird the first few times. And in either case, when you’re talking about using it in the context of online tools, it’s ALL just a search box or a drop-down away, however, Paizo chose to organize the hardcover. Basics- BRING THE BOOM! Guns and Gears brings solid steampunk and introductory industrialization to the Pathfinder setting with new technology and themes, two new classes, a new race, and countless new character options and items. saved by using the feat. You can combine this with a Gunner’s Bandolier to mitigate the Action cost by switching weapons, but the use case is still unusual and the feat and gold cost to make this work is steep. Evan Tarlton wrote: Yes. Yes. I can see why you wanted to keep this under wraps for three weeks. I saw loads of speculation on what the new classes would be, and what that might mean for the book. I saw plenty of gunslinger guesses, but nobody started guessing "inventor" until we got a couple more crumbs. Also, I didn't see anybody guess that there would be a tech book. I am as excited for this as I am for Secrets of Magic, and to have an Automaton ancestry as well... *chef's kiss*
