About this deal

Shuffle the railcar cards and deal 7 to each player. Put the rest face down in a Draw pile in the middle of the table. Player’s turns are limited in Isle of Trains, but present plenty of opportunity. Two actions from the following can be taken: Important: You must be able to move the card exactly 2 spaces, so the ability cannot be used on the second or first card from the right. Take a new carriage card from the draw pile and place it on to your line in any spot. The railcar card you are removing from your line is placed face-up in the centre of the play area next to the draw and discard piles. If there are ever two cards with the same special ability in this area they both get discarded.

Force all players to remove the first, last or centre cards of their lines. The removed cards go face-up in the centre of the play area. Each player then draws a new card from the draw pile to replace the removed card in their line. Each player removes the corresponding card from their line except if it is protected (see below). The removed cards are put face up next to the draw pile and their abilities can be used by any player for action 2. TRS22 includes five brand new routes, each with a range of new sessions and highly detailed new trains for you to enjoy. There’s something so welcoming about just pulling out and playing a game with simple rules. There isn’t a lot of rules to remember or deep strategy to become expert at.

New Games

During the game play each players turn will consist of two actions of which you can Take, Build, Load or Deliver. A great feature of Isle of Trains is the upgrade system. Instead of having to take a massive hit to your hand to fund the most costly carriages, you only need to pay the difference between what you have and what you want. The Supertanker (cost eight) is a lot more affordable when you trade in your Tanker 201 (cost five) – only needing three cards to pay the upgrade. This allows the game to grow and develop at a healthy pace, with no players left trailing behind. Engine Building and Hand Management With a new challenge version landing soon, there’s been few better times to return to Railroad Ink. It’s a roll and write where players are adding routes to a wipe clean map, based on the dice rolled to their personal map. Here you’re not only connecting rain routes from one edge of the map to another, but you’re also taking account of the highway network that you’ll also be asked to build. Working out smart routing plays off against the wafer thin lightness to the gameplay, making this an accessible entry into the world of locomotive map-making. Trainz provides something for every train fan. TRS22 includes all the tools and content required to create and operate your own railroad, or you can drive on pre-built sessions and routes in either "simple" or "realistic" cab mode. We’ve also found the games we play the most in our family are those where we don’t have to refresh ourselves on the rules every time we pull it out. Game of Trains scores very high in that category.

Game of Trains offers more choices during play. Players first choose whether to draw a new card or use a face up card ability. The various types of abilities also offer more choices in how to manipulate cards along the way. Bulk Add effect layers to existing ground textures (e.g. add Turffx or clutter to a specific ground texture). Building and filling freight trains with cargo is an expensive business! How on earth do you hope to finance all of this in a 54-card game? With cards! You may need to say goodbye to that Megahopper and Oil Refinery for a few rounds – those two cards can be discarded to pay for the shiny new Level Two Engine you need. Each selected spline segment will display three gizmos - one for each vertex, and a single gizmo for the entire segment.

The locomotive card serves only as a reminder, where the smallest numbered railcar should be at the end of the game. It doesn't count as a railcar and thus is not taken into account when any ability refers to card positions in a line. VR T Class Locomotive and Cab - Climb into the fully detailed VR T Class interactive cabin interior and drive the 'High Cab' and 'Low Nose' T class locomotives! Important: If after using this ability there are two or more cards with the same ability next to the draw pile, discard them in pairs (meaning that if there is an odd number of cards with the same ability, one will remain). Scrapbooks are a new Asset Type that provide the ability to copy and save a part of your route, then reuse that scene in other routes.

Amtrak P42DC Phase V - The P42DC (GENESIS Series I) has been completely remodelled inside and out with incredible detail. If at any time there are two cards with identical abilities next to the draw pile both cards are discarded! You will also have a range of passengers who want to be taken to different destinations. You will draw these passengers at random from a bag when you build passenger cars and certain locomotives. You can then load passengers into any available passenger car. When passengers are delivered to their destinations, they will give you an instant powerful bonus!

8. First Class: All Aboard The Orient Express!

To add new baseboards, simply drag the Marquee off the edge of the existing baseboards, then select Set Marquee to Brush Height. This will create new baseboards at the current brush height. Most of the time you’re just chugging along working on your own line. Don’t get tunnel vision though– you’ll want to keep an eye on what your opponents are doing in case you need to derail their plans, or to make sure you don’t discard a card with an ability on it that they may be able to use to win, or whether you need to discard a card that has a matching ability to one already on the table to remove a card they might have wanted to use (see, I told you there was a little more thinking to it!) The premise is simple. Build the best train on the island and deliver goods to fulfil contracts. However, Dan Keltner and Seth Jaffee have cleverly designed Isle of Trains to be much more than meets the eye! Hold onto your caboose – let’s see if this game delivers the goods. Carriages

A beautiful fantasy train game from Level 99 Games that is as simple as it is attractive – sowhile it’s a bit of a table hog, it doesn’t overwhelm players. A classic ‘build a route, and the resources will come’ game, each tile offers a resource, which can then be delivered to a city to complete a demand tile for points. Add in the special abilities of the conductor pawn on the personal player board, and you’ve got a little extra depth without too much overhead. Soon you’ll be building up machines to get you extra resources or actions, and making your network that little bit more powerful. A beautiful centrepiece for those who don’t mind a bit of make-believe on the rails. 8. First Class: All Aboard The Orient Express! Dice Hate Me Games didn’t expect such an incredible response to their 54-card ‘Rabbit’ game design competition. Isle of Trains is the brilliant story of a game that, although it didn’t take the first prize, stood the test of time and was given a warm reception by the board gaming public. Each player is given a single locomotive card to head up their line and seven railcar cards. Each of these cards features some lovely artwork at the bottom, a special ability icon at the top and is numbered between 1-84. The rest of the cards are placed in a draw pile with some placed face-up to be used for their special abilities. Taking a turn is that simple. The twists come in how the different special actions are used to impact the train car lineup. Draw a card, replace one in your line. Use advanced options and filters to make your selection, then move, rotate, delete and perform many more actions on that selection.Take: take one random passenger from the bag and place it next to your engine. If you ever need to take a passenger from the bag but it is empty take one VP token instead. Load: When loading you take a card from your hand or a passenger and place it on a train car. The train cards must have the matching symbol to show you the type of cargo you can load onto it. Loading relates to both cargo and passenger; they can be loaded into either your train or an opponent’s. If you choose to load into your opponent’s train you will also get the bonus action shown on the top of the card. You cannot load more cargo onto a train car than it states as you will end up over capacity. Some cards will show multiple cargo types but once you have chosen to load cargo onto the card it’ll only count as that type from then on. Drive from Denver to Hot Sulphur Springs in this beautiful detailed journey through rugged mountainous terrain. S20 introduces a new system of Palettes that can each be moved, resized, minimised, shown, or hidden, so you can customize the layout of your workspace.
