About this deal

As sons and daughters, we don’t have to live in fear! He has set us free! Knowing our Father and our legacy makes us live the life He is calling us to! God the Father’s true nature is as a loving Father who wants good things for us. For years, the church has taught that Jesus is the one who saves us, which is true. However, when you only have a relationship with Jesus and not the Father or the Holy Spirit, you miss out on the fullness of God.

For how can one fully give their life, their heart, their soul, their affections, their EVERYTHING to a God whom they do not know? Such is what I wrestle with. Lord, I want to know you more... no, I NEED to know you more... if I am to have any hope of devotedly following your pillar of fire wherever it may rest in the stunning darkness that surrounds this world, I must know you. This is not a request but a desperate plea from a hungry, fully-dependent soul. In addition to the core curriculum this program offers special break-out sessions for pastors and leaders who want to grow in shepherding well in these last days, giving “meat in due season” (Matthew 24:45).

Jesus taught us to pray to God as Father (Matt. 6:9ff). Prayer is time spent in the presence of the Father. It is not only talking to Him but listening to His voice; it is a two-way conversation. Our Father wants you to spend time in His presence; praising, worshiping and communing with Him. He never ignores you, and He loves to hear your voice. The father was watching for him! He ran (which was disgraceful for a man of stature) and kissed him—not worrying if his son still smelled like the pigpen!

In a quite well-known story, the prodigal son demands his inheritance while his father is still alive, then wastes it on partying and loose living. Becoming a part of the family of God means that your Father provides for you in many ways, for example: Knowing the Father-heart of God is a source of great peace and great power in your walk as a believer. The devil will try to convince you of all sorts of rubbish; that God doesn’t care at times; that your sins are too great to be forgiven; that God doesn’t love you…

See what great lovethe Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.Dear friends, now we are children of God,and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears,we shall be like him,for we shall see him as he is.” This longing can only be fulfilled by being in an intimate relationship with him! Longing to be close to our Father is part of our design! The New Testament is full of passages declaring God to be Our loving Heavenly Father. Allow me to quote three important aspects of this: When I realized that God sees me as His daughter it totally changed the way I related to Him. It’s hard to have a deep relationship with Him if you don’t see yourself as a daughter/son. Living in sonship is so powerful!

Somehow, I received the message that God was upset with humans and Jesus protected us from his anger. When I eventually learned to see God as a kind and loving father, my entire walk with the Lord changed. For he chose usin him before the creation of the worldto be holy and blamelessin his sight. In love hepredestinedus for adoption to sonshipthrough Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasureand will—to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.” Through faith, we become children of God! To ALL who receive him and believe in his name, he gave the right to become His children. The choice is ours! Loved this book, as I had to admit I cried when reading this book, as it was a great book for me heading into Lent. Yet, I was a little disappointed that this book was not about God, the Father – which proclaims it’s about – experiencing the depths of his Love for you. But, after finishing this about a week ago, and reflecting on it, I can see why others feel upset that the book is not about the love of God, the Father, instead how the author who is a senior pastor has dealt dealing with the unbroken – lost souls of the world throughout his ministry by attempting to be an example of God’s love within the world. Therefore, I began to think to myself – isn’t this supposed to be our faith, and life mission upon the earth, to bring the Love God, the Father has for us, to the unbroken – lost souls of the world? As you grow spiritually, God’s desire is that you increasingly know Him as Father and His Father-heart in your life each day.Growing up, when I thought about God and Jesus, I always thought that Jesus was the nice one and God as being distant and angry. When I prayed as a child and young adult, I would talk to Jesus, but not to God the Father. I thought he was disappointed with me, cold, and judgemental. His Presence– God does not leave you to walk alone but gives you the Holy Spirit, the living presence of God within you. Lk. 11:13, “…how much more will the Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him.” In Love, He predestined us for adoption by grace! God doesn’t see us as His sons and daughters because we are perfect and serve him so well! God’s love for us is unconditional. God sent the spirit of his Son into our hearts! The Spirit calls out ”Abba, Father.” From deep within us, our spirit calls out ”Abba, Father.”. We long for a relationship to God as our Father!
