About this deal

There is nothing worse than your dehumidifier breaking down just after the Manufacturer's warranty has expired. Here at Buy It Direct Ltd we want you to get the most out of your dehumidifier, which is why we offer a5 Year Warranty plan. If you’ve ever had reason to ask yourself ‘what is the best dehumidifier?’ it was probably with a sense of desperation over mould in your bathroom that just won’t shift, or window condensation forever puddling on the sills. Humidity can be a real problem. A dehumidifier is your best defence. Eventually, I was told that my machine is out of warranty (it's 17 months old) so they are unable to assist me, which they could have told me at the beginning. The De'Longhi Tascuigo AriaDry DEX216F is the largest model in the range and able to extract 16L of water from the air per day, and although the tank capacity isn't the largest, at 2.1L it still offers adequate capacity. This multi-purpose appliance also has an air purifier function with a double filtration system that can remove dust and other allergens from the air, plus a dedicated Laundry Drying function.

We get our products developed in the same factories as their branded cousins. They even use a lot of the same bits and pieces to make them too. Our Extended 2 Year Warranty from Buy It Direct gives you the reassurance that if an electrical or mechanical fault arises you won't be exposed to costly repair bills. Our dedicated technical team will take care of your dehumidifier.Compressors are generally efficient at room temperature, but they can’t handle the winter cold so well. If the temperature drops below three or four centigrade, they will tend to stop working. That’s not the case with desiccants, although they can be more expensive to run. How to use a dehumidifier I was given solutions designed for different models (this model does not have a removable water tank).

Simple and standard, the only additional feature is that you can choose between their four pre-set humidity levels to match your and your home's needs. All you’ll need to do is pop it in a corner and let it run, it costs around nine pence an hour so that it won’t break the bank, and when it is full, the dehumidifier will automatically shut off to avoid spillage. The only downside is that at 47dB, it is between a whisper and a regular voice; it is a little noisier than its competitors, so we recommend keeping it out of the bedroom at night. The problem seems straightforward: a portable AC unit works also as a dehumidifier and heater. When dehumidifying, it empties from the continuous drainage port, but when heating, it fills the internal tank and then errors, which means heaving the machine outside to empty it: why is this happening, and what am I doing wrong? Apparently, no one can tell me. This isn’t a particularly quiet machine, producing 48dB of sound, which is slightly worse than competitors. Having one fan speed doesn’t help in this regard as there’s no way to reduce the noise when you’ve had enough of it. I wouldn’t want to keep this in the room that I watched television or in the bedroom, but if kept in a hallway or conservatory the sound doesn’t carry far enough to be a problem. If you’ve noticed that there is a lot of condensation on your bedroom windows in the morning, it might be time to buy a dehumidifier. During the night, we sweat (a lot more than you might think) and breathe out warm air; this adds to the moisture in our room. However, dehumidifiers can be noisy, especially the compressor type, and with sleep already at a premium, finding one that doesn’t keep you awake is an absolute must! That’s where the Silentnight dehumidifier comes in. If you want a dehumidifier of a similar power and price point, the slightly more expensive ProBreeze 1500ml Mini Dehumidifier remains our best budget buy, offering a better extraction rate of 0.5L and a larger 1.5L water tank, which means you won’t be emptying it quite so frequently. That said, the ProBreeze 1500ml Mini Dehumidifier is also larger in size, measuring H30 x W22 x D16cm compared to the Russell Hobbs' H22 x W14 x D14cm frame. And, the ProBreeze 1500ml is twice the weight, weighing in at 1.85kg.Refrigerant dehumidifiers work best when there is a big difference in temperature between the coils and air. This is why they tend to be most effective at room temperature and above, but gradually become worse as the temperature drops. Most dehumidifiers have their noise levels listed in their specifications, although in practice we didn't find that much variation between models, with most falling somewhere between 35 and 45dB. Extraction amount: It is essential to consider the maximum amount of moisture your dehumidifier can extract daily. It can range from anywhere from 500ml to upwards of 30 litres. Small units are fine for occasional use or a small area, such as a cupboard or study. Around 12 litres is suitable for a small flat, medium-sized room or a mild damp problem. Up to 16 litres is best for a larger room or one used regularly for washing or cooking, and units with a capacity of up to 20/30 litres can be used to dehumidify whole homes. Fan speeds: Some dehumidifiers have just one speed for continuous drying, limiting your control. Whilst others have up to three, which is advantageous if you want to adjust it for faster drying or put it on a lower (and possibly quieter) setting. The ElectriQ 12L dehumidifier display has six easy to operate button, plus an LED light display that indicates the current humidity level via colour changes as follows;

Our Extended5 Year Warranty from Buy It Direct gives you the reassurance that if an electrical or mechanical fault arises you won't be exposed to costly repair bills. Our dedicated technical team will take care of your dehumidifier.

A good extraction rate, however, is not the only thing you get from this electriQ 10L low energy dehumidifier. One of the machine’s outstanding features is that it has an automatic energy-saving feature. It's not the most powerful dehumidifier on the market - you wouldn't expect it to be with the low energy consumption. But it can do a decent job at removing water, especially at room temperature or above. I highly recommend it to anyone who suffers from Asthma or other breathing conditions. Overall, I can’t praise this appliance enough, honestly, I feel better and can breathe. Now I’m all set for the Winter.
