About this deal

Twinkl Kids TV or Twinkl Parents have many educational videos on various aspects of the school curriculum.. A wonderful Easter tradition is to celebrate Easter Sunday with a family meal. In the UK, this is usually a lamb roast dinner. Nowadays however, the term ‘Easter egg’ is sure to make you think of chocolate! It’s become commonplace to celebrate Easter with the giving of chocolate or candy eggs. If you ask most children about the best part of Easter, they’ll probably say the chocolate Easter eggs! Word processors like Microsoft Word (online and offline/paid and free versions), Google Docs (online/free) and LibreOffice Writer (offline/free) are great for text-heavy printables and can also create fun WordArt, simple shapes and tables, as well insert images. If you're already comfortable with word processors, they're a great place to start.

Shiny and pearlescent paper. This adds a wonderful look to tons of printables and you can get a lot of different colours from gold and silver to pinks and blues. When my Gran receives handmade cards, she appreciated the words that are inside them just as much as the design on the front. Coloured paper. One of the easiest options is to use something other than white paper, which adds a bit of fun and extra pop to any printable. You can get paper in all the colours of the rainbow. Personalised Easter card ideas could be adding the recipient’s name, making the card in their favourite colours, adding a baby’s footprint or handprint or featuring their favourite type of Easter celebration – e.g. eggs or a bunny.

If you don’t celebrate Easter but are still looking for some relevant craft ideas to make this season, you could make some Spring crafts instead. Of course, crafting isn’t just about keeping the kids entertained! We adults love to be creative too. 🙂

Of course, crafting for Easter isn’t just limited to creating decorations for your table or your home. There’s just something so lovely about taking a couple of hours to craft a unique handmade card for your family member or friend, and then to see their face when they open it up. Many of my family members are not religious, yet I still send them Easter cards. I think this is more because they appreciate getting something handmade sent in the post, and the thought and love that goes into making the card, rather than the holiday sentiments it represents. Iron on/transfer paper. Fancy putting your printables on a t-shirt with transfer paper? You can either digitally paint your printable before printing, or have fun drawing directly on to it with washable fabric pens.I’ve put together a selection of my favourite Easter craft projects from around the internet. I hope you like them too! How to make religious Easter crafts Do you send cards to wish a “Happy Easter” to your loved ones? If so, do you tend to make the same style of card for everyone, or go more creative with lots of different designs? This collection of projects contains art projects that are slightly more advanced than the ones above, but they are all still suitable for children.

Using special paper is one of the best ways of jazzing up any printable, and the results are always fun.Get your young kids involved in the Easter experience by teaching them about the story of Jesus and His resurrection in an interactive way that they can really engage with and appreciate. You don’t want to accidentally get your pricing wrong and sell something for less than it cost you to make! Even if you send the card in the post so you don’t get to see them open it, you still get that warm, fuzzy feeling inside that you’ve sent something that you know will be appreciated and admired. Do you send greetings cards at Easter?

Laminators are fairly affordable these days, and can be very useful, before or after completing a printable project. Originally it was real eggs that were emptied of their contents and dyed red in memory and respect of the blood the Jesus shed during his crucifixion. For modern celebrations, the Easter bunny is the wonderful creature who hides Easter eggs and treats around the garden or outside areas for children to find.

You can still get a lot of fun out of a printable with whatever digital device you have to hand, and especially if it comes with a digital pen. Running a craft session at your church can be a wonderful way to get the community involved and it’s a great bonding experience for you and your fellow worshippers. However, let’s not let chocolate have all the fun! As much as I LOVE a good chocolate egg (especially DARK chocolate – mmmm!), Easter eggs are also great fun as a theme to craft with!
