About this deal

The AM09 is 75% quieter than the AM05, with streamlined air channels for reduced airflow turbulence. It is the only fan heater with Quiet Mark accreditation. It also has a sleep timer, which be programmed to turn off after pre-set intervals ranging from 15 minutes to 9 hours.

Particle challenge by DEHS oil specified in EN1822 within a chamber specified in ASTM F3150. Tested in Max Mode at IBR US, for whole machine efficiency above 99.95%.Third party full machine testing based on GB/T 18801-2018 formaldehyde cumulative clean mass testing with continuous injection until plateau of formaldehyde CADR is achieved. Results may vary in practice. In maximum setting. Tested for air projection, purification coverage in an 81m³ room and heating performance in a 35m³ room.

You want to get hot, or stay cool? As a two-in one device, the AM09 has you covered whether it’s the deepest darkest nights of winter, or a sweltering summer’s day. As a fan heater, it can pump out either fast blasts of cooling air, or warm cosy waves. The results lined up with what I'd experienced the night before. The AM09 raised the temperature to 70 degrees in about 10 minutes -- the Lasko heater needed 30 minutes. The AM09 hit 75 degrees after 45 minutes, while the Lasko heater needed an extra hour. It is very convenient that can be used as a heater, which is very handy in the winter. Cleaning the air whilst creating a warm atmosphere in your room, is a worthy 2-in-1 to have.

There is no doubt that it has been one of the best purifiers I have ever bought. It fulfills its functions, I have it in my apartment and so far, I have had no problem. My allergies have improved, I am very happy.” Jason K. Power is the differential factor Not surprisingly, the AM09 also earns accolades for its functional design as well. The remote on the Dyson AM09 is conveniently designed, with buttons that are intuitive and easy to press. We love that the cooling and heating buttons allow us to switch between fan mode and heating mode with the touch of a finger. We also appreciate the magnet that holds the remote on the top of the unit. Once you get in the habit of storing it there, it holds securely and will stay there indefinitely. It depends on the size of your room and the difference between ambient and desired temperatures, but during our testing the AM09 got up to temperature in under five minutes. Of course, at the time of writing in mid-April, the ambient temperature of roughly 20 degrees is a world away from a cold British winter evening, so we’ll have to return to testing later in the year to see whether it maintains these speeds. Intentional cosmetic decoration or modification that may impact a product’s resale, refurbishment, restoration or usability will void the terms of your product’s warranty and the Dyson return policy. Despite the thermostat being contained in the base of the fan, it was accurate enough to dial down the airflow when the majority of the room had reached the desired temperature. There were a few areas where our thermometer didn’t quite measure the temperature we’d set, but it was still much warmer than ambient.

Despite playing host to a flurry of new features, the AM09 looks virtually identical to its predecessor – I think it looks like an oversized needle with the pointy end removed. Like previous Dyson air multipliers, the latest AM09 oozes style and high-end appeal. It’s easy on the eye, well-constructed, so the fact it looks the same isn’t a problem. Perhaps more impressively is how the AM09 manages to achieve this while being significantly quieter than the outgoing AM05. The improved motor is barely audible on the lowest heat setting, and only slightly louder on the lowest fan levels. We could comfortably get to sleep with the fan on a medium setting, and it didn’t prove distracting when watching TV or having a conversation during the daytime either. It’s a welcome improvment over the old model and a major selling point for anyone with a loud, traditional fan heater. We love that the cooling and heating buttons allow us to switch between fan mode and heating mode with the touch of a finger.

A superb fan heater combo with a price tag to match

The rest of the cylindrical shape is is taken up by the tilting, optionally-automatically-rotating base, which includes the air vents, a single power button and a small LED display which lets you know which mode, speed and temperature the fan is set to. No burning odour The heating components never surpass 200°C, which is well below the burning stage of dust. Therefore, you will not notice any of those characteristic annoying odours that some heaters produce. Overall, the 59.5cm tall AM09 is compact and easy to store when not in use. It’s stable despite a footprint small enough to sit comfortably on floor or countertop. A tilting base and oscillating movement allowing for more targeted heating and cooling. The Jet Focus mode is a huge success, too. It might sound like a lot of hot air, but by any name it’s a brilliant advancement. Dyson launched its latest hot + cool bladeless air heater, the AM09, in Japan and the US late last year as a replacement to the AM05, but British customers can finally get the improved model, which promises Jet Focus Control for more powerful, more direct airflow and a motor that’s up to 75% quieter than the outgoing model. We’ve been putting one through its paces to see if it has what it takes to keep you cool in the summer yet nicely snug in the winter.

As you’ve seen, this Dyson Pure Hot + Cool Link air purifier can perform many functions: ventilating, cooling, heating and sterilising. This is achieved thanks to its 2000 W power. Box contents and purifier characteristics After reaching target temperature and maintaining it. Tested in a 35 m³ chamber when using the hot air mode and the product setting temperature is 25 °C. Comparing with continuous operation with power consumption of 2050W. Real life results may vary depending on room insulation. Therefore , it does not need blades or grids to filter, as the filter can be found in the base. It is made of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, which is an ultra-resistant plastic which lasts for quite a very long time. It’s a great, stylish fan and heater that’s perfect for upmarket living rooms, home offices or anywhere that needs what the Dyson offers. The Jet Focus feature works very well, and is something no rival can offer at present. Like on the company’s past air multipliers, a brushless motor and bladeless design combine to ensure airflow is not buffeted. This might not sound like a major advantage, but you won’t want to revert to a choppy, bladed fan once you’ve tried it. It’s an expensive option, but one which gives a luxury performance.
