Roxy is kidnapped after being sold by her father to the Vipers, four men who pretty much 'run the town'. They have a rivalry with the Triad that really doesn't inject that much excitement into the story. There's some attempt at a plot in this, but the flawed writing prevented me from remotely enjoying it.

I would have liked for the story to have more action with the rival gang. Some scenes were not necessary to the story so it would have been better to use that time to bring in something more with the rival gang. Those things are fine in fiction, they are not for me in anything other than fiction. However, I was extremely pleased with the aftercare that takes place in this book. Oftentimes in fiction that contains BDSM it does not cover aftercare which is a super important part, I’m grateful that this book does have that. In all honesty I didn’t know if I was gonna like Diesel. But then the rhapsodizing about his past and how he wouldn’t change a thing because it brought him to his little bird ... well shit. How do you not fall in love with that?

Though Roxy was awesome and very tough, I do think that there were a few times she was a bit too crass for me. Like one time she went with Ryker to a meeting with the board of Viper Corporation and she walks, sits down and puts her feet up on the table. I just don’t think that an adult who wants to be taken seriously would behave like that. She doesn’t need to curse at certain times and be disrespectful to look tough. I just think as a bar owner, she would know when to act crass and tough and when to act like a lady.Ryder, Kenzo, Garret, Diesel. One a leader, one a softie, one a fighter and one a psycho..They might not be the same blood but sometimes loyalty and friendship is ties together far more well than blood. But when a feisty little girl comes crashing into their life, their brutal cold facades break little by little. They will keep her safe no matter what but will she keep their heart safe...much less all four hearts safe? I would say that Den of Vipers is a Gangland Mafia style book with an urban location that is well described. It wasn’t hard to imagine what the different locations looked like because K.A. Knight did a fantastic job describing them. KA Knight is a bestselling paranormal romance author that was born and bred in a small little town in England. For the longest time she has dreamed of characters that have the ability to love several people in crazy creative stories. The man obsessed with bets and runs all the casinos in town but is low key a sweet heart. I don’t have it in me to diss him because he’s too 🌸🌙💞🥺 This book tries its hardest to convince the reader that in some way Roxy CHOSE to stay with the Vipers. That she loves them. That this isn’t manipulative, at all. And that to me is disgusting. It also does its hardest to slut shame women, but I mean, what do I expect from a book that is literally depicting an abusive relationship with ZERO self awareness?

There are more moments of Roxy trying to escape the Vipers than what other drama was happening in the book. This book may be unsuitable for people under 18 years of age due to its use of sexual content, drug and alcohol use, and/or violence. Den of Vipersby K.A. Knight I don’t want to offend anyone, it’s okay to like what you like, but why the hell was this something people were recommending?? Out of all of the dark/taboo romances you could recommend, THIS is the one y’all are talking about 😭?? The leader is suit wearing Ryder, he's the face and brains of their empire, he's calculating, and everything he does, he does it for his family, he's as dark and as cold as they come, a lethal business owner.

DEN OF VIPERS: Is a full length dark, reverse harem romance book by new to me author K.A. Knight. Various POV's. Garrett: he’s our incel. He had a really traumatic experience with a woman and instead of fixing his shit and going to therapy, he has now turned to ~misogyny~ Garrett is the restraint and choking one mostly due to his PSTD after being almost killed by an ex-fiance. The restraints were Roxy’s idea to help him not get triggered. Roxy is this young woman who has been on her own since she ran away from her abusive father. She now runs a dive bar where she makes the rules and is respected among her customers, but she doesn’t have anyone in her life that she can count on when she needs help. She’s used to having to defend herself and can bring down a man that is easily two or three times her size, and despite her upbringing, she is a fighter. She has learned not to let the demons of her past control her life. She had for a long time been a slave/pet of the Berserker leader but had managed to win her freedom. Her freedom did not come cheap as she had to fight to the death in the pit which was one of the most horrible experiences any human could go through.Diesel is one crazy man. There is literally no other way to say it because in this case you have to call it like you see it, and even he would admit it. He gets off on people pain and loves to torture people. He’s the type of man who would bring you the appendage of an enemy to you as a gift after the enemy looked at you the wrong way. There is nothing in the world that scares him more than loosing his little bird.
