About this deal

These guys are Age of Sigmar Bladegiests and Ghouls with various Genestealer, Hormagaunt and GSC acolyte bits crudely welded on with big messy blobs of greenstuff. Everything is given a spray of wraithbone to start, and then a heavy wash of druchii violet. Before that dries, take a sponge and randomly dab bits off – not just off the top, but getting the corner of the sponge into the crevices as well, letting it go where it will to really pull the wash unevenly. I drybrush that over the flesh of the sores. I’m also going to use Bugman’s Glow to paint all of the tentacle bits coming out of the Great Unclean One’s body in various spots. I’ll highlight the raw muscle with Bugman’s Glow as well.

Next, add in some additional Balor Brown and Ushabti Bone, going over raised areas with multiple layers to improve the consistency. Additionally, start adding some streaking lines along the muscles to add some definition. Withered a decaying bodies with dried up tendons show pretty well and it’s a simple way to get more detail onto the model.Lighten the Genestealer Flesh Mix with Pallid Wych Flesh (2:1) and layer carefully on raised areas. Citadel Colour’s Coelia Greenshade is a high-quality acrylic paint designed for use in miniature painting. It features a rich, heavily pigmented formula that dries to a matte finish, creating the perfect foundation for any miniature model. As a part of Citadel’s extensive palette of colors for miniatures, Coelia Greenshade offers great coverage, making it a good option for beginners and experts alike. Its unique formulation allows it to add depth and definition to recesses, shading and enhancing the natural details of your miniature models. What Xenos armies to paint with Coelia Greenshade

The model was primed with Corax White from Games Workshop, which is a light grey primer. I recommend applying three or four thin coats for a perfect coverage without smothering any details with paint. For additional weathering on vehicles, apply a coat of matt varnish all over the model, then once dry, thin down Raw Umber oil paint with mineral spirit, wash into the recesses, then very carefully wipe away any excess with a cotton bud dipped in mineral spirit. You have to be extremely careful with this part, if you rub too excessively, you run the risk of wearing away the paint underneath.I started painting Nurgle Daemons to accompany my Death Guard. Recently, I’ve started fleshing them out into their own army and really taking on some of the bigger models they have to offer, which meant painting my Great Unclean One. For the chipping, take a fine piece of sponge and use it to dab Rhinox Hide on the sharpest corners.

Gravel: Mechanicus Standard Grey, Drybrush Corax White, Wash with a 1:1 mix of TAP Dark Tone / Strong Tone Ink Note: From here on out, all of the pictured miniatures were primed white using White Scar Spray Primer. All of the Contrast paints were applied in one coat straight from the pot and not given any additional detail, unless stated otherwise. For the Perfect Base Coat…

The “normal” bits of skin then get a very watery layer of 1:1 Druchii violet and Pallid Wych flesh, and an extreme highlight of Pallid Wych flesh. Any mass of scar tissue or area I want to be a bit more disgusting will get a 1:1 mix of Kislev flesh and Ratskin, then pure Kislev and roughly applied lines and blobs of 1:1 Wych and Kislev. There are a few bits to finish here – the steel gets a coat of Leadbelcher and then spots of Typhus Corrosion and a drybrush of Ryza Rust to look old and rusted. The copper parts get a coat of Balthasar Gold and then a coat of Agrax Earthshade. Finally I need this guy to look and feel gross, so I coat big chunks of the model with Nurgle’s Rot, paying particular attention to the boils and snotty parts of the model to make him look appropriately gross. If I’ve done things right, the model will look kind of wet even when it’s dry. Dark Imperium and Plague War by Guy Haley. These books focus on Guilliman’s battles against the Death Guard and Mortarion’s forces, but also feature several notable daemons, including Ku’Gath Plaguefather. Next, do your non-flesh colors. I used Balor Brown for the hair, Warpstone Glow for the eyes, and Wazdakka Red for the tastefully placed rags. Dead Island is a pretty solid entry into the video game canon, having players fight off zombies as they attempt to escape a resort island. A Duke Nukem Forever-esque sequel to it was announced like 8 years ago.

Any flesh I want in a grey-dead flesh colour and I want the armour ornamentation to be a really worn brass and the armour itself to be heavily rusty around all the edges and areas that would attract wear. I also at this point tagged the sores with Plaguebearer Flesh, then when that was dry did a thin glaze of Casandora Yellow to heighten the saturation and make them look more gross. Your imagination (or maybe sanity) is the limit when it comes to how intense you want to be with these new paints. The new White Scar Primer makes colors like Doomfire Magenta, Frostheart, Magmadroth Orange, and Striking Scorpion Green especially eye searing. You can also use a bright silver base to create a metallic or slightly iridescent surface, as is the case with the Blue Horror on the left. It was painted using the same colors as the Hydra Tyrannid but a bright silver drybrush was applied in between the application of Stormfiend blue and the Luxion purple. This is one where I am particular – PSYCHE I’M TOTALLY NOT. I use Army Painter Banshee Brown for most of the teeth and claws now because I found it and I like it. I am sure there are other off white or bone type colors, but I like this one. When I started painting I was using standard white, so there’s a mix of white and off white in my army, which is what I like anyway. I wash them with a nice Agrax and then highlight with some more white or Banshee brown. Nothing crazy. I use the same Banshee brown for any exposed bone as well.
