This new series, starring Dog Man characters L’il Petey, Flippy and Molly, shows kids how to make their very own comics. Chubbs sits on Jake the Spider. Then the venom transforms Chubbs' butt into a Spiderbutt. Then they decide to become superheroes and build a cool van. They soon encounter the Not Very Nice Club. The leader taunts them continuously, while unsuccessfully training his mentee to be unkind. Frankie, C.C., and Boo used to work as Law Enforcers. But they changed their minds and became space heroes. They detect a bully on a planet, and try to stop the bully. But the bully ejects an evil robot out of his body. The baby frogs turn the robot into a good robot, and they prompt him to hug the bully. The bully runs away, and the victim is saved. The shenanigans are nonstop and the comics are thoughtful, funny, and full of heart. Author and illustrator Dav Pilkey uses an assortment of art techniques to illustrate his trademark humour in this joyful graphic novel adventure that fosters creativity, independence, and empathy.I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my own writing, so I don't usually allow myself to write garbage that no one will ever read. But it's good to create for the sake of creating, even if it doesn't turn out how you thought. Lil’ Petey the cat and his friend Molly (a tadpole) have begun the Cat Kid Comic Club, a club for kids that like to draw comics. Aside from some initial scuffles over who gets to be Vice President of the club (everyone wants to be one), Lil’ Petey and Molly start inspiring their fellow comic makers with ideas, from how to come up with an initial concept (Melvin the Frog’s Dennis the Toothbrush Who Wanted to be a Dinosaur Lawyer, for instance) to giving awards for the weirdest comic (Poppy’s The Cute, Little Fluffy Cloud of Death). L’il Petey and his two able helpers introduce 21 rambunctious, funny and talented baby frogs to the art of comic making in the Cat Kid Comic Club classroom. As well as a hilarious and very silly story about the antics of the baby frogs, readers will learn about the practice, mistakes and persistence required to make a comic. Flippy, Molly, and Li'l Petey have new lessons planned for Melvin, Naomi, and their nineteen siblings. The baby frogs have a lot to learn -- both inside and outside of class. Wendy and Raine's siblings are mad that the book ended in a cliffhanger, and that its sequel won't be showcased until the following week. The second day of the second week of the comic club starts off with everyone goofing around and Naomi and Melvin fighting. Curly and Gilbert shares their new comic to everyone, and The H.A.C.K.E.R. Brothers present their long-awaited comic, Chubbs McSpiderbutt. Give them space – One of the best things you can do is give your cat time and space, let them explore in their own time and approach you when they feel comfortable. Cats need to get used to their sanctuary room first before meeting any family membersIf your cat is happy to be touched, emphasise how important it is to treat your cat kindly and gently. You can also show your child where cats do and don’t like to be touched. Go slow! Once your cat is settled in, and is comfortable with the adults in the household, encourage your children to sit quietly in a neutral space, ready to meet your cat. It might be best to keep young children behind a baby gate to make sure they don’t suddenly lunge at your new cat.
