About this deal

MSR Dragonfly, very powerful & loud, use with a damping cap very quiet and very controllable. liquid fuel only, mines as good as the day it was bought 20 odd years ago. mines playing up a bit after a year of use - how do you get the top of the stove off to get to the jet to clean ?

Most of the hardcore anglers love sharing pics of their Coleman stoves throughout the winter months. It’s almost proof that you’re hard enough to be fishing through the harshest conditions! Cool the tins in the freezer first (you may have to do it a few times to get the required amount of fuel in especially when its warm). but the 2 stoves your advocating are wonderful if your visiting countries where gas is not available and you can use another type of fuel but The suitcase stoves rig demon mentions,I also have some for a SHTF ,situation, also the never have let me down,as long as you don't put a massive hot pan over the canister housing. And please do read the warning that follows. Some cheaper versions of these stoves can explode or set on fire. We’ve been getting a stream of scary stories from readers since posting Jim’s warning (see next). sunshine I probably used an Optimus 8R Camping Stove before you were born as you sound like a soppy kid ? with your pathetic insults

Ive had a primus omni fuel stove for over 20 years and its never let me down once, probably the most reliable thing ive ever bought. Just sold my Primus gravity and bought a new T4 two weeks ago after following recommendations on here. Nobody mentioned having problems with them or performance dropping off after a while at all. Last week they were the best thing since sliced bread and this week they can be iffy sometimes. Angling Direct doing what they do best.Putting their prices up just before a sale.Bunch of robbing *******s

when I first bought my Peak 1 stove it was in the days of leaded petrol and I actually bought a tube of pre heat paste but before I had used all the tube I realised the secret in lighting /running the stove was the correct pressure the higher the better With what I'm suggesting you don't have to get rid of empty gas canisters, you just fill up with whatever you use in your jam jar and you're golden. Red hot and boils stuff in minutes instead of eons. My Optimus is well quiet with the PawDog and the MSR is sensible out of the box, but hey, if you want to arse about with pony gear, you go right ahead and fill ya boots. Go mental. Bulin t4 stoves are a superb stove for fishing if you like gas and coleman when run on the right fuel (aspen) and used by anyone with more than 2 brain cells are as safe as gas or any stove Thanks to everyone who gave suggestions, used the bulin last night for the first time. Fantastic bit of kit You’ll get loads of recommendations for cheap ones but I personally buy primus for gas cylinder stoves. Never ever had any problem that was insurmountable.
