About this deal

So, i just bought my new BenQ XL2430t and i've found this amazing forum while looking for some settings for the monitor itself. I'm kinda noob in wich concerns to monitor specifications and tweeks but as far as i'm concerned, i've learned the basics by now. I'm sorry if i'm posting this in the wrong section but couldn't find any related to this matter. The only thing that changed is you've switched to GPU-side FRC instead of monitor-side FRC. (Basically, NVIDIA GPU does temporal dithering GPU side instead of the monitor doing temporal dithering monitor-side). A color gamut is a visual illustration of the millions of colors a display can produce. While certain professional work in design and editing requires a "wider" color gamut, the standard monitor gamut ( sRGB) is typically fine for most web-based tasks—and for most video games.

On the left side of the monitor, you’ll find easily accessible USB and headset ports, although you’ll need to run more cables to your PC to make use of them. Unfortunately, display luminance isn’t quite as good, with a fairly large offset of around 20% in the first quarant for all but the highest brightness settings. Still, these aren’t awful results by any means. BenQ’s XL gaming monitors have been a consistent favorite of mine when it comes to input lag, as they typically measure some of the lowest numbers on the market. Like the XL2720Z we reviewed earlier this year, the XL2430T offers a native 144hz refresh rate, which will reduce input lag even more over 60hz sources. Of course, you would need a PC capable of outputting a native 144hz refresh rate to take advantage of lower input lag values. However, even at 60hz, the XL2430T proves to be a formidable force when it comes to input latency. I even have Linux step by step instructions, where you can stop after reading the firmware. You can dump the existing firmware. The problems recently (probably due to UEFI Bioses) and people getting the DVI EDID corrupted after flashing were only on Linux, not on the mstar device. The aluminum stand certainly stands out from the typical plastic construction seen in most monitors today.

The 30T is endowed with those same features, and they're still impressive, but it's the newest additions we're most excited about. First up we measure the tone response, which reveals a measured display gamma of 1.9, a little too bright for our liking (this is at roughly 25% brightness, for reference). The gray ramp is a bit wonky, but nothing too out of the ordinary. Finally, the top of the monitor’s stand has a handle, making it easy to carry this monitor with just one hand — helpful, whether you’re making the long walk to the LAN from the car, or you just like moving your monitor around the house. Information about whether the stand can be dismounted. Usually, this is required for wall mounting.

Design

Ergonomics Information about the ergonomic functions - height adjustment, swivel angles, tilt angles, etc. VESA mount The ratio between the horizontal and the vertical side of the display. Some of the standard and widely used aspect ratios are 4:3, 5:4, 16:9 and 16:10. Dimensions, weight and color Information about the dimensions and the weight of the specific model with and without stand as well as the colors, in which it is offered to the market. Width There’s also a handy headphone holder, which pops out when needed and hides itself away for travel.
