I think Alistair so far, has been my favorite MMC out the series so far. He literally changes parts of his house and wardrobe based off the hair color of the girl he loves. Apollo and Daphne isn't a myth I'm well-read about, but I still really enjoyed the little easter eggs of the source material Sav constantly includes in these books. This story is inspired by Hades and Persephone. Kal is an interesting character that really keeps you interested in finding out more about him. Elena is a strong character that seems like she won’t put up with anyone’s bull crap. The tension between these two is amazing. There was a reoccurring line of Alistair saying Cora of “I’m trying to keep you safe.” Or something similar to that. Safe from what? The Barbieris? When news breaks the next day about their night in the city, including an awful accusation against Aiden, Riley needs to go in hiding or risk being found by her greatest enemy, and she doesn’t even have a chance to explain. Aiden however, won’t be letting this go anytime soon and he’ll find a way to get his hands on Riley again.In Oaths and Omissions Lenny is the daughter of Jonas’ biggest enemy so of course when Lenny figures it out she agrees to a fake relationship, except, maybe there is more to it. However, neither one of these characters can trust freely after their pasts have damaged them. We know that Alistair is the mayor of this city, another very corrupt and very strange city. It seems difficult to read, it’s a bit rude and very intense. LITTLE DO WE KNOW THAT OUR MAYOR HAS SOMETHING FOR oh, I dunno, DEATH… and braces. He’s also a bit obsessive, I mean I wouldn’t say no to a man who would paint areas blue, change floors and build me a pool. But what do I know?

If you’re familiar with Sav’s work then you know she always brings the spice, that she always brings top tier kink, and oh boy did she deliver on this one. I devoured this book and had to force myself not to read it in one setting. Ugh this books was so so good and I was so surprised how much I loved Alistair and Cora. banter between the main leads is my favorite part of any love story, and the banter between cora and alistair had me thriving. I got mostly confused toward the end of the book. Around the climax. It felt like Lucien made an entrance twice. From the MOMENT Alistair had his chapter (*cough cough* chapter two).... I instantly fell in love with all of him and my panties absolutely disintegrated. Like yes, please ravage me in a dirty alleyway... please hunt me down like I'm your prey...
