Words: As mentioned above, this story surprisingly takes a potentially violent and scary event (a volcano causing mass hysteria and stampeding) and manages to make it a bedtime story. Apart from the unrealistic likelihood that all the events narrated could actually take place in 10 minutes, I thoroughly enjoyed the story. Muddy puddles, tropical birds, erupting volcanos... the jungle is full of so many exciting things, how can Rumble the dinosaur possibly go to sleep?

Snuggle down to sleep with this cozy lift-the-flap adventure in the no.1 bestselling Ten Minutes to Bed series! I understand that this book is one of many in a series which uses the same plot structure repeatedly with different fantastic creatures (unicorns, mermaids). I'm taking a star off for this reason as formulaic writing does not impress me as much. It probably doesn't matter to children, however.
