Add 60 grams to 5 litres to 120 grams to 10 litres of Kingfisher “Weatherflex” paint or similar quality exterior coating by stirring in (ideally with a power paddle) and apply by brush or roller to create a tough “mould-hostile” decorative finish. Of course, this has the drawback of having to repaint again after it stops working but considering the length of time as well as the ease at which you can slap this paint on, I wouldn’t worry too much. Prevention is always better and not to mention cheaper than cleaning or repairing your walls/ceilings so having the best mould resistant paint on your walls and ceiling is a no brainer. Black spot mould is both unsightly and potentially hazardous to human health as the spores aggravate and in some cases, trigger respiratory problems such as asthma.
