I had a hard time with the first book and though this book has the two characters finding their middle ground and working through some of the issues I felt that it was an unnecessary chapter without adding a lot to the overall story line. He went straight up to the desk, pulled out the paper Blythe gave him and told the woman sitting at the desk the room number. He wasn’t a man who saved lives—he took them, but he would make an exception this one time even though she saw the monster he never let anyone see unless they were going to die. They had to truly fight for their happiness and dedicate themselves to making their relationship better and I really loved that. There is a very important moment where Savage makes certain the heroine knows she can speak with her friends and receive support about their relationship if she needs to.It played over his entire body as if she was stroking him with caresses—or licking him with her tongue. Since then she has been published by various publishing houses including Leisure Books, Pocket Books, and currently is writing for Berkley/Jove. And that makes total sense, and I'm really glad that their story wasn't condensed into one book, they really needed that breathing space! She will give all she can to Savage but will not lose who she is to do so, again showing she is absolutely the woman he needs, a woman to hold her ground and say when.
