About this deal

maximum diameter×8.8" extension from flange at the 100mm setting. Gets longer at the 400mm setting. There are a few key things to consider when deciding whether a 400mm or 600mm lens is right for you. The first is the size of your sensor – if you have a full frame camera, then the 600mm lens will give you a much wider field of view than the 400mm lens. If you have a cropped sensor camera, then the 400mm lens will give you a similar field of view to the 600mm lens on a full frame camera. Image quality and overall performance are excellent in all respects. Autofocus speed is very rapid, based on a system that includes both linear motors and a ring-type ultrasonic actuator to drive different groups of elements. The effectiveness of the optical stabilizer is enhanced when used in conjunction with sensor-shift stabilization, featured in later Sony bodies. Good control over ghosting and flare is aided by a nano-structure coating.

That's the good news. The bad news is that there's no automatic brightness control so you won't be able to read the lens' OLED panel outdoors unless you manually increase its brightness. Once you increase the brightness so you can read it outdoors, but it probably will be too bright indoors until you manually adjust it again. The handling of the Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM | C is excellent, as we said in our full review. The zoom and focus rings are smooth, and being able to twist the focus ring to override autofocus is a really useful feature for those times you need to be ultra-precise. When it comes to lenses, Sony makes some of the best in the business. Two of their most popular telephoto lenses are the 400mm f/2.8 and 600mm f/4. Both lenses are incredibly sharp and produce amazing images. As a telephoto it's not instantaneous, but it is more than fast enough for any action I've tried to shoot on my Z9. The Nikkor Z 400mm f/4.5 VR S does not have an in-built teleconverter (unlike the f/2.8 version), but it is compatible with Nikon's TC-1.4x and TC-2.0x Z teleconverters. (Image credit: Nikon) Both lenses are great choices and offer different benefits depending on your needs. The 100-400mm is lighter and more compact than the 150-600mm, making it easier to carry around with you. In my video review, you’ll see a selection of bursts I took of Brighton’s seagull population using the RF 100-400, mostly at 400mm and at the maximum aperture of f8. The lens was mounted on the EOS R5, using the full AF area with animal eye detection enabled and Servo for continuous autofocus. These are bursts using the mechanical shutter, delivering 10fps in practice here.

Enjoy high quality performance, low cost prints and ultimate convenience with the PIXMA G series of refillable ink tank printers. This itself isn't a problem; what matters is that outside air is constantly pumped past your sensor, along with whatever dirt comes with it. Performance and image quality are impressive overall. However, the Nikon struggles to justify its price tag when compared to newer Sigma and Tamron competition. The lens has a rounded nine-bladed aperture that produces circular bokeh at the center of the frame. Moving outwards towards the edges, the bokeh balls turn more into slanted cat-eye shapes. There’s a slight rim to the bokeh balls but overall it looks excellent. Out-of-focus areas are able to cleanly melt away and do not contain busy harsh edges.
